The mandarin collar has embroidered silk flowers in pastels, with forbidden stitching in the center. There are multiple silk roundels featuring cranes gazing upwards, surrounded by reeds and flowers. Antique 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty Robe-Coat. A dark navy blue silk, gauzily woven, with numerous round medallions each enclosing a sinuous, five-clawed, horned ascending dragon and a descending phoenix in flight, amidst clouds, contesting a flaming pearl.
The coat is bordered by black Satin silk panels and trimmed with finely woven black silk ribbon...

Figured blue silk. Stitched on embroidered roundels with design of a boy holding flowers. Applied with black silk band and ribbon at the collar, cuffs and hem. On yellow silk satin in satin stitch and Peking knot beautifully embroidered sleeve bands with flowers, peaches and bats. Peach colored silk lining. Condition: One roundel at the back and parts of the ribbon missing. Some wear and minor staining, loose threads, lining worn, repair. Dimension: Sleeve to sleeve 148 cm, 57 cm high.

Centrally two flying birds, between them quite invisible Chinese characters, bordered by swastika pattern. Lined and edged with different blue fabrics. Antique Chinese silk kesi panel with a thin black border. It has a gold-tan main background color, depicting a canyon scene with billowing clouds and rock formations in soft shades of mauve, muted blues, pinks, and greens. One cloud has an interesting vibrant purple shade peeking out from its side. A bearded man is shown crossing a bridge, riding a grey horse or mule while a man in red and and grey clothing follows closely behind. 19th century Size: 38" height, 9.75" width

The ground fabric of this man's garment is a light, greyish silk damask with stylized endless knot pattern. The front overlap closing is fastened with five pierced gilt metal ball buttons. Trimmed with black silk and a woven border, the straight sleeves with light blue cuffs showing the same pattern like the ground fabric...

Fine three paneled wedding blanket from the Zhuang ethnic group, Southern China. W: 90cm/35.5in and L: 148cm/58in (with border W: 134cm/52in and L: 190cm/74in. Woven from all hand spun cotton and silk embroidery threads. Classic diamond and star pattern with “wanzi” swastika meander patterns on the border, also incorporated into this pattern are a few “Wang” characters (Chinese for king), which may be seen in the lower left side of the cover image...

The badge dates from early to mid-19th century, and denotes the ninth civil rank symbolized by the bird on the badge - the Paradise Flycatcher. Numerous woven designs include sun, rocks among waves and clouds, bats in flight, fungus of Immortality, peaches, peonies, lotus flowers and other Emblems of the 8 Immortals, Buddhist Emblems and Eight Treasures...

This is a Qing Dynasty woman's skirt which has been Adapted for western wear. The 2 panels of the skirt have been sewn together and the original waist band has been narrowed. The skirt easily wraps around the hips so that the flat sections were displayed at at the front and back....the pleated sections hang at draped the sides.....

This soft pale pink colored antique Chinese silk skirt is from the late 1800's. The traditional floral embroidery is mainly uses satin stitch technique with the large flower in the center of the front and rear panels use Peking knots. In over all excellent condition but the two panel have been stitched together and the waist band has been shortened to accommodate the adjustment. Also the lining has been removed.....

This blanket shaped Miao ethnic minority baby carrier is from Jian He and is a good example of the whorl pattern which was so significant to the Chinese Minority. Made from hand-loomed plant fibers (maybe cotton, maybe bast fibers) the surface is heavily decorated with appliques edged with chain stitching. This carrier is in good condition showing a minimum of wear and dirt and it 80+ years old

Large Chinese embroidered silk badge of a three toed dragon. The 3-toed dragon is the symbol of government ministers and public officials. This piece could have been from a wall hanging or off of a room screen. Color of badge is even; glare from the glass is making it look darker or lighter in areas. This badge measures 20.5" high and was placed on a cream colored closely cropped brushed velvet material, then framed. Framed measurements are: 26.5" wide x 33" high.

Antique Chinese framed blue silk embroidery which appear to be sleeve bands that are stitched together. The textile is decorated with two phoenix, two dragons, and Chinese seal script. All are hand applied using gold gilt wrapped threads. In excellent condition, measures 27" x 15" including frame. The silk measures 21.5" x 10". Dates circa 1900.
