Made of camphor wood, gold and red lacquer. The countenance of the Buddha has a full broad complexion and down cast eyes in complete contemplation, flowing robes, hand forming the crown mudra. The back has a consecration covering and three guardian entities; Goat, man, and pig.

A large, Museum Quality pottery figure of a male attendant carrying a bag over his shoulder. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.
The figure is placed on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint, both in fine Sancai colours - a two-colour green and yellow glazed robe.
He wears a head dress. Finely hand painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures...

DESCRIPTION: A large and masterfully carved Chinese shou shan stone (soapstone) seal in tall rectangular form, the knob carved with a crouching dragon having both wings tucked back covering its sides, and whose mouth is poised to grasp the sacred pearl. On each flat surface of the base are engraved inscriptions and characters among idyllic scenes of rivers with boats, hills, houses and pavilions. The bottom seal characters leave a positive (red) impression...
A nice group of authentic Ming miniature glazed tomb items for taking into the next world. During the Shang Dynasty all the actual pieces were used and have been replaced with pottery figures from the original size to this size in the Ming Dynasty.

A Chinese Export double handled cup, a chocolate cup. Under-glaze blue decoration of a seascape with pagodas, diaper and scroll borders. Qianlong period, c 1760. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: wear to the little dragon “ears” of the handles, otherwise fine.
A bulbous vase finely painted in Famille rose enamels, the decoration depicting the eight horses of Mu Wang, the Queen Mother of the West. Four-character Qianlong mark in over-glaze blue to the base. Height "9/ 23 cm. Condition: severe damage and repair to the neck (cf. pics).
A Chinese Export coffee cup, Qianlong, mid-18th century. Decoration in puce and gilt of flower garlands in European style. Height "2 ¼ / 6.5 cm. Condition: a hairline.
Small Chinese Export cup and saucer, first part of the 18th century, Yongzheng or early Qianlong. “Batavia” brown glaze with reserves of flowers in Imari colours and gilt. Diameter of saucer "4/ 10.5 cm, height of cup "1 ½/ 3.5 cm. Condition: wear to the gilt, one hairline each to cup and saucer (cf. pics).
