A finely decorated snuffbottle with a scene of figures in an interior. Decorated in underglaze blue and red. It has a Yongzheng mark. Considering the quality of the painting and the heavy wear to the glaze, to my opinion it is of the period. Any comments and ideas are very welcome. H. 8,5 cm. Condition: excellent, with heavy age wear to the glaze.

A well, deeply potted porcelain dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with cranes and lotus. Swatow ware, late Ming ( sixteenth century ). Diameter : 28, 3 cm. H : 7 cm. Condition : The body itself in perfect condition with a nice bell like sound when tapped. Some faint cracks to the very nice glaze of the dish.

This is a fine, flattened, rounded rectangular form tapering toward the base, with a wide mouth of slightly opaque glass, above a short waited neck, all raised atop a conforming foot ring. The main body decorated with overlay of transparent red glass over clear glass carved with a decoration of a bat hovering above a rock and waves. Wonderful pair of Ming Dynasty ceramic joss stick holders in the form of guardian lions in rich turquoise glaze on brown pedestals. Measure 6 3/4" high, 5 3/4" wide, and 2 1/2" deep. Figures are of buff colored clay, are hollow with hole in top for holding sticks. The turquoise glaze is somewhat mottled over the surface, deeper in color in some areas, and having a greenish hue in other areas, while the raised areas show the color of the underlying clay...

Sensuous and serene, this covered pewter jar is quiet, subtle, and sophisticated with it sparse plant motif which climbs up the wall onto the lid. Small statue of Buddha wearing a diadem, in a meditative posture ("dhyana mudra"), holding a stylized beggar bowl in his hands, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne. Bronze, with thick encrusted green patina. Tibet, 16th century. Height: 5 1/2" (14 cm). Diadem partly chipped, a few tiny casting defects, otherwise very good condition. A rather unusual aspect of the Buddha image.
