Antique Chinese tall wardrobe cabinet, made all of jumu (elm) wood with very beautiful grain, middle bar has been attached to door so that the cabinet opens with clear access to interior, inside has one shelf with two small drawers of jumu wood finished on the front to match the exterior of cabinet, bottom has one large drop in panel that locks with key, 19th century. Size: 78 1/2" high x 42 3/4" wide x 21" deep.

Chinese Green Porcelain Pen or Brush Holder. The green glaze has an "oil on water" effect and gives an excellent impression. The shape of a table makes it rare and interesting. A small teapot and lid, Kangxi period, c 1700. Painted - clobbered - probably in Holland for the European market, in iron red, green, pink, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration. The base with a pseudo-Chinese seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "4 1/2/ 11 cm. Condition: repair to the lid (cf. photos), otherwise fine.

this antique pair of lotus embroidered lotus shoes are most likely from northern china. the vamp is a quilted cotton fabric. Each shoe is embroidered with the same floral design on both sides. The shoes were used and show some soiling on the vamp and the soles are slightly worn and dirty.

South China/North Vietnam Yao Shaman Ka Dong Deity Ritual Mask. This fine old mask would have been used in the same family for several generations to perform rituals such as those for a newborn baby and maturation. The wood for this important mask would have been taken from dep in the forest where spirits were believed to live. 14.5 inches, 37 cm.

A CHINESE FOLDING FAN.

A Chinese paper fan with bamboo sticks, the paper centre is varnished in order to stiffen the paper. The bamboo sticks are decorated with a hot point, a technique known in the West as pyrography. There is a worn out silk tassel with a large amethyst bead.

Approximately 30 cm long. The fan is in fine condition overall but one or two on the bamboo inner sticks have short splits. These could be easily strengthened with glue.
