This is a 19th century made bottle of a thick Bulbous rectangular form with rounded edges, thick straight neck, wide lips and mouth, and recessed oval footing. The well-hollowed bottle has been made in imitation of Realgar, with its mottled shades of red and orange in erratic nebulous forms. Antique Mongolian traveler's knife and chopsticks set. The knife's sheath is made of wood and completely covered in silver repoussé designs of Buddhist symbols and inlaid with coral and turquoise florets. The handle of the knife and the chopsticks are made of bone.

This is an authentic nephrite jade huang carved, as one would expect, entirely by hand, done in a translucent pale greenish-gray jade with russet inclusions. It measures some 5-1/2" (14cm) end to end and is in excellent condition given its great age. Porcelain Shou-Lao. In one hand he holds a stick ending in a deer's head which is usually his companion, and in the other hand a peach of longevity. The glassure is covered with enamels of the rose family. It is rare to encounter this type of porcelain Divinity of very small size. The Iron red is of the best colour. Statue of Duowen Tian Wang, the Heavenly King of the North, elaborately dressed, wearing a diadem, holding the end of a ribbon with his left hand and a Buddhist scepter resting on a lotus in his right hand. The statue is standing on an square pedestal. The piece was originally lacquered, painted and gilt. Part of the lacquering is flaked, revealing the bronze oxydation. The statue was cast in China during the early Qing Dynasty, in the 18th century. Height: 37 cm. Very good condition.

Rare antique Chinese silk brocade panel woven with polychrome peonies; intricate silk tapestry. The panel is backed with beige color silk. Measurements : 27 inches long x 60 inches wide

Diameter approximately 41 cm. In good condition.

This is a large amulet with two holes for suspension and was most probably used as a chest piece (pectoral). The polish is so spectacularly well done that the piece feels as smooth as silk when held. The large central hole gently tapers on both sides. It measures a full 4" in length and is 2-1/2" in height. Roughly 1/8" thick. In color a varied green nephrite with a minimal residue of the polishing material remaining on the surface.

Set of 8 panels carved in a beautiful hardwood probably rosewood. They are very finely openworked with stylized dragons moving in scrolls. In the center a bone inlay. The cutouts as well as the details are very skilfully executed. Probably pieces of furniture. Probably china but perhaps vietnam. The largest panel measures 215mm. Bone inlays are missing.

Cast bronze incense burner. Simple, tripod shape, with cut-out rather than welded handles. Despite its simplicity, this censer is of a good quality finish, in fact you can see on some photos the traces of the passage of the scraper tool which makes a perfectly smooth surface. Below cast in the mass the mark of Xuande. Although bearing this mark of the 15th century, this type of bronze is from the Qing period...

Rare, very rugged leather tobacco box from the Bai ethnic group in Yunnan, China. This was purchased in rural Yunnan at a Bai market, near Dali over 20 years ago. One can assume this craft is no longer being done with the availability of cheap plastic items as well as the migration of artisans to better paying jobs in the city. Black and white print of Nagasena Ahrat. In the 9th century this portrait of the luohan was painted as well as those of 15 other Ahrats by the painter Guanxiu who was a Buddhist monk. 900 years later, in 1757, Emperor Kienlong during a visit to Shengyin Monastery in the former province of Hang admired the 16 portraits. In order to perpetuate them, he ordered the carving of 16 sculpted stones to produce numerous prints of these works of art, of which here is one of the rare examples...

Cast bronze censer. Thick and heavy. It rests on 4 feet. The simply twisted handles seem to be part of the one and the same casting which would be a technical feat because I don't see any traces or rivets or welds. A frieze of stylized flowers surrounds the upper body. On the front part, the prestigious mark of Emperor Xuande cast in high relief is probably apocryphal...
