Antique 18th-19th century miniature Indian Hindu bronze Shiva shrine from Western India in the form of a courtyard, Shiva and his family seated around a lingam, including his wife Parvati in her Annapurna manifestation and his son Ganesh, and the Shiva's Vahana Nandi at the entrance.

CONDITION: It shows its age and use with age-related wear and patina.

MEASUREMENTS:

Antique Indo-Persian miniature painting depicting a hunting scene. A party of three men on horses gives chase to a herd of deer while two others stand by with spears. In the background a river wends it's way through hills covered in low trees and flowers. Painted in gauche colors. Framed.

Age: circa 1800-1850

A large antique 19th century Indian Hindu temple puja bell or Ghanta the janus handle with figures of the monkey God Hanuman and Garuda. The bowl engraved with two elephants and zebu bull and floral pattern and scrolls.

CONDITION: Showing age and usage, handle slightly bent the figures appear to be well worn from ritual use and handling with nice old patina. In working order - sounds good!

This is a well-painted double-sided erotic miniature, 19th century or earlier. The painting has slight staining and is affixed to a paper frame (slightly torn, as shown in the photographs)by the edges of the manuscript, not impinging on the painting(s) themselves. Possibly from a Kama Sutra text, or the Gulistan. The leaf measures 4-1/4" X 7". Gold highlights.

Antique Indian Kangra School miniature painting of Annapoorani Amman. A scene where Annapurna (the goddess of Nourishment and a manifestation of Parvati) seated on a throne, gives food to her consort, Shiva. The story goes that Shiva challenged the need for all materialistic things including food. Parvati, in order to prove to Shiva that food was essential (especially to his followers) disappeared, creating a state of famine. Humans and gods suffered...

Very rare and early piece, nicely cast, finely engraved and with a good patina. The Krishna figure has two silver bracelets on each arm. H. 24 cm. Condition: left index finger restored. Antique 18th-19th century Indian copper alloy figurine amulet depicting Four Armed Hindu Deity Vishnu standing on domed square base, his two upper arms holding the chakra and conch with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra.

Height: 6.5 cm (2.56 inches).

CONDITION: in good condition considering its age worn out and shiny on the exposed areas from centuries of touching by worshipers.

Lord Vishnu is considered as the chief god in Hindu religion and Indian mythology...

Small Indian mask cast in bronze or brass, finely engraved. Depicting the crowned head of a male deity with bulging eyes and moustache. Karnataka / Maharashtra c. 19th century. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: fine. Dimension: 12 cm high x 12 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep.

17th century Indian bronze votive sculpture depicting Vishnu in his avatar of Narasimha (the Man Lion) with his consort Lakshmi sitting on his left knee. Demon Hiranyakashipu could not have been killed neither by a man, nor an animal, so Vishnu took the above form to slay it. The main emphasis of this image is upon lion characteristics of fierceness, bravery and independence, while the presence of Lakshmi is a reference to more common Lakshmi-Narayana images...

They both wear matching orange robes and white pearl necklaces and sit upon gold thrones adorned with flowers. The couple gaze at each other from across the room, each holding a flower bud in their hands. A scenic view of the sun setting beyond a large pond and grassy hills can be seen through the large open window...

Statue of a guardian, with a large mustache, wearing a turban --- suggesting that the man belongs to the Sikh community --- and a uniform. Wood, with strong abrasion due to great age. India, 18th/19th century. Height: 37 cm. The statue is mounted on a custom stand. Arms and feet missing, otherwise good condition.

Rare, antique, 18th-century Mughal period, huge made of black lacquered hide, Indo-Persian, Indian shield (Dhal).

The shield has a circular convex form and an ornate brass medallion at the center. The medallion features an engraved, hand-sculpted, low-relief image of the Hindu deity Hanuman.

The monkey god faces towards the left side while wearing a Veshti and sash. He is decorated with two necklaces, armlets, bangles, earrings, and an elaborate crown...

Antique 19th century Indian Archer Thumb Ring Zihgir. The ring is carved of a veined green Nephrite Jade, inlaid with metal wire, and set with 8 cabochons and 3 small, oval, red and green jewels.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length 4.5 cm (1.77 inches). The inner ring diameter is around 2.2 cm (0.87 inches).
