Unusual 17th / early 18th century small votive Indian bronze sculpture of a standing female attendant of a deity, her hands in front of her, and must have contained an object (missing). Beautiful casting and detailing, great patina with subtle green encrustation on the surface, wonderfully worn attesting to its great age. Height 2.3 inches.

An antique, 18th –19th century Indian, finely cast, copper alloy figure depicting an Indian Hindu deity, Rama. The figure is shown standing on a square plinth, with hands on hips. Rama is wearing a long dhoti tied at the waist with a sash falling down the sides of the legs. The upper torso is adorned with necklaces, and the arms have armlets and bracelets. Small statue of Ambika, with a tiny Jina sitting above her head, wearing a dhoti, standing on a pedestal backed by a large nicely adorned mandorla. Ambika holds a child in her left arm, and what seems to be a weapon in her right hand. The deity is flanked by her vahana animal, a lion, on her lower left side, and by another child standing on her lower right side. Bronze, with nice dark reddish-green patina. India, 16th century. A Tibetan thangka portraying the deities, Amitayus, Namgyalma, and Green Tara. Amitayus is the Buddha of Infinite Light and often is associated with the Sukhavativiha Sutra and Pure land references. Green Tara embodies the essence of compassion and Namgyalma represents the vast wisdom of the Buddha. Age: 18th century. Size: length 43.75" width 27.5"
Pair of small Shiva lingam carved in dark marble. The first one, smaller, has part of its aureola missing. The other one is taller and more elaborate, with a double aureola and the Naga snake surmounting the lingam, and has small chips. India, early 19th century, maybe earlier. Heights: 6.7 and 9.3 cm.
An interesting small collection of 9 bone carvings in the form of skulls, carved in the openwork, with lids at top and bottom, Tibetan c. 19th. century.
The group finely patinated and intact but some with loose lids. A set for ritual purposes.
Size: up to c. 3,3 cm. tall or less, but more of less of the same sizes.
Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1950s-1980s.
Antique Tibetan or Nepalese Buddhistic Thangka / Tangka, gouache on canvas, second half of the 19th century. In original condition, fastened to a wooden stick and o be rolled up with a cinnamon-brown silk cover to protect the painting which is framed by silk brocade of the same colour. The back with the name of the artist, a Buddhistic monk, finely inscribed in red. The picture itself represents one hundred boddhisatvas in various sizes and positions among clouds...

A round, convex shield with four central bosses. Decorated with raised design of tendrils, embellished with black and red enamel, and some tin plated areas. Reverse with four attaching bronze rings and a velvet pad. Compare with a similar shield in the Royal Ontario museum. Condition: few losses to enamel and wear to tinned areas, reverse with some residue of solder. Dimension: diameter: 28 cm.
Very rare architectural element beautifully carved in the shape of a celestial being, maybe Garuda, flying and holding a vessel in his hands. Wood, with dark-brown patina. Nepal, 18th century, maybe earlier. Height: 14,5 cm. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old insect infestation (treated, no danger), some losses, otherwise very good condition.

Miniature altar dedicated to Hindu Goddess Annapurna. The goddess is shown sitting cross-legged on a lotus throne, holding her ritual spoon on her lap, and backed by an aureola. Bronze, with traces of its original green patina. India, ca. 17th century. Height: 4.7 cm. Strong abrasion due great age, otherwise very good condition.
Statue of Kubera, the God of Wealth and Prosperity, wearing diadem and formal attire, sitting on a dais. The god holds the Buddhist umbrella in his right hand, while he holds the mongoose that spits the jewels in his left hand. The statue is made of gilt copper, with a nice green and reddish patina in the recesses. Tibet, 18th century.
Height: 4 7/8" (12,3 cm). Very good condition.
DESCRIPTION: A large Mongolian trunk, the front delightfully hand painted with a large, colorful bird perched upon leafy blooms, around which are fanciful borders of butterflies, pomegranates, lilies and large red blossoms. Sturdily constructed of light weight Poplar wood, the top and sides are lacquered black while the back is red. A perfect place to store linens and blankets, it would also make an attractive bedside table. Very good condition and dating from around 1900 - 1910...
