This unusual small triangular shaped snuff bottle 2 of the 3 sides of the piece have carefully repouse Tibetan symbols..no makers marks...a few tiny dents ...no loss. It was brought back from Tibet by a man who went on a long walkabout from Istanbul to Tibet back in the late 60's...China was not open at the time...and Tibet ..he traveled with a backpack,limited space,few small momentoes and he was picky...old pieces only... bottle is approx 1.75 inches high

Very old mask with an elongated face, with moon and sun signs in relief on the forehead, small eyes, long nose, open mouth showing teeth. Wood, with encrusted patina. Nepal, 18th century. Height: 10 1/4" (26,2 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident from top to bottom restored locally a long time ago, otherwise good condition. Ex. old European collection.

Late 19th century Indian silver "Shiva" fluted vase. Features a fluted style solid silver body with individual raised scenes of the Goddess "Shiva". Her position changes in each scene. She is adorned by engraved peacock designs as well as foliate and engraved Indian luck symbols. The top boasts an impressive floral inspired wide mouth design. Sits a top a weighted silver base with a raised running foliate border. Marked "75" on the rim of the base as well as an illegible hallmark...

Tsakli cards are powerful miniature paintings of Buddhist deities and objects. They have many different ritual uses. They can be used for teaching when a lama holds the card out for a student to focus on, thus helping them with the visualization and meditation on that deity and what it represents...

Original Indo/Persian painting with marbled card border. Identified as NADIR SHAH AFSHAH (1688-1748). Undated, estimated to be mid 19th century or earlier. 35 x 25 cm overall, in new double thick card mount. Good condition, some scuffing to corners of marble border.

17th Century Tibetan Green Tara Thangka, 49.5 x 29.5 inches, 126 x 75 cm. Most of these thangka were photographed through glass frames, so there may be a little blurriness. This thankga was in an exhibition at the University of Texas Art Museum.

This elaborate antique embroidery panel is from Gujrat India and would have been used as a dowery quilt. It is backed with soft aged (now muted) cotton fabric, leaving a 4 inch border surrounding the embroidery. The gold and silver metallic threads are also somewhat subdued and blended giving the panel a soft and somewhat muted appearance which is very pleasing...

A spherical lime container made of copper with scrollwork decoration, chain and spatula in brass. Betel nut chewing accessory, the interior with lime residue. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: diameter: 8.2 cm, chain with spatula: 32 cm long.

An antique Hindu Indian bronze ceremonial bell handle from the 18th -19th century, India. It is made up of two back-to-back statues. One statue is of Hanuman, who represents friendship, loyalty, and service and is known as the monkey god. The other statue is of Garuda, a mythic half-man, half-bird who is said to fly everywhere to protect humankind...

18th century Indian bronze Shiva shrine from Western India in a form of a courtyard, the family of Shiva seated around a lingam, including his wife Parvati in her Annapurna manifestation and her son Ganesha, as well as Nandi bull and a seated figure of a shrine donor with offerings in his hands. The back halo has the protective naga (cobra) with its hood wide open, and there is a pile of offerings in the front right corner of the shrine...

This antique type of metal work was common in Nepal during the 1800's and into the early 1900's. The birds beak is carved from bone which is dyed to color. The "jewels" are colored glass i.e. enamel drops of orange, turquoise and dark brown. Beak to tail tip the bird measures 3.5 inches and stands 2 inches high. Very good condition with one "jewel" missing on the side.

Sutra book cover carved all over its surface with, in the center, a Bhaisajyaguru Buddha ("The Master of Healing") sitting on a lotus throne in a niche, and Tibetan characters on the rest of the surface. On one side, a monster head surrounded with floral designs is carved. Wood with fine dark-brown glossy patina and remnants of red pigments. Tibet, 15th century. Length: 53.5 cm. Erosion and chips, otherwise good condition.

Tibetan woman wore their hair in long braids which were slipped into elaborately embroidered textile sleeves for festivals.

Finely cast small statue of Green Tara, wearing diadem jewelry and dhoti, sitting in regal repose on a double lotus throne, her left hand holding a lotus flower. Tibet, 19the century. Height: 4 cm. Slight erosion on the gliding, otherwise very good condition.

Large Indian Tantric painting on cotton showing a yogi with both hands raised his body with 5 chakras. Extensive text inscriptions. Minor tears, bottom edge frayed. Undated, estimated to be late 19th early 20th cent. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide.
