This is wonderful Japanese antique tsutsugaki textile of umakake horse Cover in Edo period. The material is thick indigo dye cotton. As for the design of the rabbit that flies between waves, the design like auspicious. There is slightly a stain. There is no damage. The state is very good. This very nice carved ivory okimono of a young farm girl is a mid-19th century product. It is 5 ¾” high (with base is 6 ¾” high), 1 5/8” wide and 2” in depth. It depicts the farm girl carrying a wood and rope woven knapsack on her back. She holds a basket of fruit with both hands in front of her. Her smiling face is simply charming. The wood base might be a later replacement. It has good patina and is in very good condition. More detailed photos are available.

Good size early 19th century boxwood netsuke of Gama sennin standing with one foot raised while his usual companion - a toad - is climbing onto his left shoulder - apparently much more rare version, as the creature usually seem to prefer the right one.
