A Korean Rare/Fine Celadon Inlaid Foliate Decagonal Shallow Dish:
Korea, Koryo period, 12th -13th Century,
This shallow dish is a very rare with foliaged rim, each lobe has a black and
white slip inlaid with chrysanthemum flower head on the exterior, and the interior is
molded with a central flower head medallion surrounded by a lobed design. It is applied
overall with a thick rich celadon glaze with three spur marks. It is in fine condition
except a tiny hair line crack on the rim...
The body potted in an extremely rare bee - hive form, the spout modelled as an abstract variation of a human face or mask or so.
Korean Choson period 19th. century.

Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century
The small jar of globular form resting on a ring foot and with an upright neck
ending in a straight cut lip, painted in underglaze blue with two Buddha hands
around the body, below a color of clouds, the clear glaze thick wih a blue tinges.
It has two chips around the rim, otherwise fine condition with a clean foot.
Measurements; 14cm h. x 15.2cm d. (5 1/2” x 6”).

This is a shallow Punchong bowl in inlaid black and white slip with willow
and two-three lotus buds between white slip inlaid lines with yo’-i heads.

The deep bowl of cylindrical form sharply angled towards the base and set on a raised
ring foot, decorated with white slip rain-spot inlaid on the exterior between double rings,
In the interior, a ring medallion surrounded by a white slip inlaid Ruyi pattern band ring,
foot rim unglazed and the base glazed with a grey celadon.
It’s in fine condition but a tiny chip repaired. Measurements; 8.5cm x 3.8cm h.

The globular body set on a raised, slightly fraring ring foot and with sharply everted
rim and applied handles, with a domed cover, pierced with buddhistic tragrams
and a pierced dodecahedrom form finial, decorated in a thick white, clear,
blue tinged glaze.
It’s in fine condition but some hair line cracks on body.
