A Beatiful Natural Green Ash glazed Cup-Shape Bottle: Korea, Koryo Period, 10th -11th Century The slightly tapering globular stoneware bottle with short neck and cup-shaped mouth enhanced with a thick and running olive green ash glaze pooling toward the base. Covered entirely except for the footring in a clear glaze with a bluish tinge. Open to the base to accommodate a stemcup. Very good condition. No cracks or chips. Some sand adheres to the foot and base.

Koryo Dynasty, 1100s

Glazed entirely including the foot and base with a pale greenish-grey glaze, and decorated on two sides with bold stylized calligraphic designs. Good condition except for a small chip to the mouth rim. The foot retains evidence of at least eight spurs on which it was fired and possibly a dusting of wood ash from the firing adding character and a bit of visual texture to the upper body.

Late Choson period, ca. 1900

Decorated in cobalt blue with a design of chrysanthemum and bamboo, stoutly potted and glazed with a clear glaze of faintly aqua tint. Very minor glaze pitting and surface scratches, slight wood ash dusting seen mostly on the shoulder of one side, small amount of sand adhering to the foot, otherwise very good condition.

Luxurious and heavy Korean Amamori (leaking rain) Incense Burner Kōro from Edo period.

The irregular shape and the base resemble Japanese Wabi Sabi tea bowls which tells that this piece was made specifically for Japanese market.

Amamori means the surface stained with spots that look like rain leaks on a wall creating beautiful complex scenery.

A Korean, celadon bowl with incised decoration of two parrots to the interior of the bowl; Goryeo dynasty. The beautiful bluish green colour has turned an olive-green colour, in part, due to the incomplete oxidising atmosphere of the kiln. Dimension; 17cm diameter.
