The Ink stone is very heavy, very well skilled carved Korean melon-shape with vines, leaves, its end-tip, outside rib and its inside seeds as a top bottom by an excellent stone carver.

On a slightly cracked celadon cover, it has 4 loops at the shoulder. Rare shape, the body of the vase seems to be placed on a cup. It bears a signature close to its base of Yu Hegan (1894 - 1993). Very pretty vase in perfect condition from the early 20th century. H 25 x D14 cm.

Miniature Korean antique bandaji (trunk) for storing small personal items. Made of elm wood with beautiful hardware. The upper portion has door that opens from the front to reveal two small interior drawers. The bottom portion has two small doors which open to a single compartment. The chest stands on curved feet. Comes with a traditional Korean fish lock and key.

Smoothly trimmed by chisel for the stability of each bottom. Aesthetically grain is coming out as well. Solid make, with some scratches, cracks, stians, etc...

A large kitchen storage jar that was made in North Korea. The Jar is an example of Korean folk art, and it has hand painted blue and green designs on a white base. There is brown staining to the exterior and interior surfaces, where the contents (probably soy sauce) bleed into the stoneware. There are two side handles for carrying. The jar measures about 16" high x 12" in diameter, and dates to the late Chosen Dynasty...
