This bowl is unique and exceptional in the sensivity of its painting which to some extent echoes the decoration of the very rare and highly admired Kangxi Imperial Mark and Period "Birds-Bowls". Underglaze blue six character Kangxi Mark, but 19th. century. One of the most beautiful "Kangxi-revival" bowls ever seen.

Antique Japanese horse saddle, wooden frame with brass hardware, leather is decorated with orange and gold lacquer with peony design, indigo cotton fabric with woven mesh saddle cover with long fringe, Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made of kuri (chestnut) wood in warm brown lacquer finish. Each drawer face is decorated with elegant iron hardware accenting. The middle of the chest has two sliding doors with a center locking pin, with two more drawers and shelving within. Keys are included. Dates from late Edo period c1850.

Beautiful pale pink soapstone carving of a lily with plum blossoms, and a bird. In very good condition, it measures 9 inches high. Chinese.
Chinese 12th-15th century vase with creamy white glaze. 11 cm high. vase has small chipped at the rim and a glaze fault at the body.(please see on the picture) free from any repair.
A large Chinese bonbon dish made by Wang Hing. Made of mother of pearl shell with silver bamboo legs in tripod form, it is surprising sturdy. Marked Wang Hing on one of the bottom legs, it is in excellent condition and measures 5 inches high. Across, the shell measures 8.75' at its longest point and 7" at its shortest distance.
Late 18th to early 19th century Japanese lacquer 5-compartment inro with a stunning design of a dragon!
It has a fantastic lacquer work called Maki-E. The inside is covered with precious Nashiji Gold Dust. This techique was only used for luxury items for the most famous Samurai fighter.
The material of the Netsuke and the string fastener (ojime) is Kotsu, a delicate work.

This old Japanese hand made sack (basket,bag) was made by a rural farmer or fisherman out of cotton cording. Handle holes were worked into the upper band which would have allowed for the changing of worn out handles. There is obvious wear and fading from use and age. The bag measures almost 11 x 15 inches It is Wonderful old ethnographic example of rural Japanese textile folk art
