Excellent carving in deep relief with precise undercutting and complete piercing of the body of the pit. Very nice mellow brown patina, in excellent condition. Height 1/2 inches.

Antique Japanese noh theatre mask of the character Ko-Omote, a youthful girl. Very unusual that this mask is made of ceramic instead of carved from wood. Beautifully painted with red lips and blackened teeth, joyful eyes and dark hair with four loose strands, very important defining characteristics to tell each mask apart. The backside is signed in-between her eyes and has been affixed with parts for displaying the mask. Edo Period (circa 1800's) Size: 8" H x 5" W x 2.5" D

Antique Japanese okidoko (shelf for tokonoma), for Japanese display and storage, made all of keyaki (elm) wood with beautiful grain, 4 sliding doors open to one large compartment, pulls for sliding panels have raised motifs of flowers and waves, Taisho Period (circa 1920). A Very Fine/Rare Korean Pigments Enameled Wood Carved Wedding Duck-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century A quite large and finely carved wood duck painted with a thick natural mineral pigments in white, light brownish red, green, blue and black over the surfaces for a wedding ceremonial events, the base has a rectangular in-hole for fitting, its head is removal. It’s in excellent condition with old pigment colors with some areas faded, measures 12’ (30.5cm)...

Broken shards of these crab plates have been found on the Island in Cebu in the Philippines, and are determined to be of the Zhangzhou type (formerly called Swatow wares). This lovely crab dish is from the Spanish porcelain trade that was exported from China to South East Asia. I am not absolutely certain of its exact age, but can guarantee that it is at least 150 years old. Measuring 6.75" in diameter, it is in perfect antique condition, no chips, hairlines or repair.

Regarding translation of calligraphy on scroll, the language formally states that this painting is respectfully given to a person (Sei in) from another person (Koō yoū ro)...

A Ming Dynasty Hongwu period ( 1368 - 1398 ) porcelain dish with underglaze blue decoration and a biscuit fish to the center. Jingdezhen ware.Diameter : 12,5 cm. Condition : Perfect with no chip or crack. Nice glaze condition. A burst bubble to the biscuit fish which can be seen on the enlargements.
