Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents. Each bowl and cover are in perfect condition with very little wear to the enamels, almost non-existant...

Chinese Blue and white Dragon and Clouds Kendi, Ching dynasty, 18th century, 12.5" High, with crackle to glaze.

This is a dark slightly irridescent toffee-coloured glazed porcelain tripod censer of shallow compressed gobular vessel supported on three flatten bud feet. On the slightly everted mouth rim of the censer, it has a slightly tilted handle to the left and right. The tripod is designed after the popular Ming dynasty Xuande period style. Cir. late 18th to 19th century.

Generally in good condition - No damage. No repair, hairline, crack or chip...

This short sword and matching scabbard from Bhutan is elaborately decorated. The knife handle or sword hilt has a leather cover which is detail with silver reposse and a coral bead. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and is decorated with an elaborate silver reposse dragon. The knife blade is has a series of added symbols. The belt loop is also decorated with a series of silver objects...

Decorated with a plantain leaves in the center and lotus petal on the outside. W=9.5 cm. Early Ming 1368-1398. Condition : perfect, no chips, cracks, hairline or restoration.

Both the wooden front and back covers of this Buddhist Sutra book are hand carved with different symbols. The numerous text pages are beautifully written with rich black ink with specific words written in red ink. The book still has its original leather binding strap.

This Tibetan sutra book approximately 12 inches wide, 4 inches tall, and 2 inches thick. Though the pages are in good condition, the covers show years of wear and use and is a wonderful artifact of an old culture.

Black bowl, Kangxi (1662 - 1722) decorated in black and over glaze gold flowers. Double blue rings in under glaze blue and Mark in over glaze blue. Condition: the bowl has a reparation from the 19:th century (see pictures). The over glaze gold has wearings from normal use (unusual that gold still is so visible). A beautiful rose medallion plate C. late 1860's and in wonderful unretouched condition, no chips, hairlines, or restorations, just a beautiful well painted plate measuring 9.5" diameter

Chinese elm wood square low table in a natural finish with two deep drawers each on two alternating sides. Brass hardware appears to be original. Late 19th century. 19 5/8"H x 31 3/4" square. There is an old narrow moon shaped burn on the top (see enlargement 3) and there are a few small separations in the wood on the top from shrinkage. This piece is from a Tucson collection and was purchased by expatriates to Taiwan in the 1980's.

Chinese Qing dynasty elm wood rice chest. A removable top panel opens to reveal a single large storage area. Late 19th century. 33 ½”H x 28 ¼”W x 21 7/8”D. A Japanese Kutani plate with flat base and short rim, finely painted with a pair of sparrows on a red leafed maple branch, the reverse marked "Kutani". Late Meiji/Taisho period, early 1900s.

Japanese Imari charger finely enameled with panels of two phoenixes on stylized floral scrolling grounds - all in green, red, blue and purple enamel with gilding. The reverse side is decorated in underglaze blue with karakusa scroll pattern and with fork shaped factory mark. The phoenix (Ho-o in Japanese) is a mythological bird known to appear in time of peace and prosperity. It symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death. Dimensions: 16" (40.5cm) in diameter, 2 3/4" (7.2cm)...
