Of polygonal form rosewood mahogany table with raised border top, tapered shape sides with open work carved design depicting different floors and trees, alternating with solid panels, raised on angled steep feet. It is very fine condition but missing one leg rim (see ph0t0) and a few hard to notice losses to decoration...
An exquisite slightly fluted porcelain bowl with a dragon parading though tendrils of cloud in raised relief by Mokusen enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 18.3 cm (7 inches) diameter, 9cm tall (3-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition. Mokusen was a prolific porcelain artist in Kyoto well known for his tea ware.
A porcelain bowl made by Mokusen of Kyoto decorated in blue with waterbirds taking flight from a reed-dotted shore followed by a four character verse by Oyabu Shunko enclosed in the original wooden box signed by both artists dating from the early 20th century. It is 18 cm (7 inches) diameter, 9 cm 3-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

Tai Lue is a tribal people living in Burma, it is difficult to find Buddha from this ethnic group and Tai Lue Buddhas look more primitive than typical Burmese Buddhas.

On a slightly cracked celadon cover, it has 4 loops at the shoulder. Rare shape, the body of the vase seems to be placed on a cup. It bears a signature close to its base of Yu Hegan (1894 - 1993). Very pretty vase in perfect condition from the early 20th century. H 25 x D14 cm.

Young woman's katabira (unlined kimono made of asa, hemp or ramie) with long sleeves. It is made of Echigo-chijimi, which was woven in Echigo region, now Niigata prefecture. It is handwoven of choma (ramie) whose wefts and warps are hand-plied, and the surface has light shrinkage from twisted warps and wefts. It has hand-painted flower motifs. The lining of collar cloth is thin silk, probably dyed with benibana (safflower). In excellent condition, no hole or no stain. 19th century...
