Japanese tall Kiri wood Hibachi, low relief Lacquered Bird on Grape vine, Ca. late Meiji period, 1910's, 11 1/4" high, 5 1/2" wide-widest part, 4 1/2" x 5" wide-top rim, the condition is good.

Small architectural element decorated in relief with Vishnu, in his other name as Anantashayana (meaning "reclining on Ananta"), resting on the many-headed serpent-king called Ananta "the endless". Vishnu is holding the conch ("shankha", symbol of the five existential elements) in both hands. Wood, with fine glossy patina. Nepal, early 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 6" (15,2 cm). The relief is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Erosion due to great age, otherwise good condition.

Himalayan Metal Chop with Brass Conch Shell Buddhist symbol inlaid, early 1900's, 1 3/4" high, 1/2" diameter-bottom, steel inlaid star design on the bottom, two(2) holes on the side mid section for the rope carrying on their belt. Some rust remain on the metal area.

19th century netsuke carved out of kurumi (natural walnut shell) with a reserve on the front showing a face of a tengu hatching from an egg. Tengu are mythological: creatures half men, half birds, they are usually depicted as goblins and are considered to be first-class fighters. Nice carving, black and red highlights. A Fukagawa tea cup and 5 3/8 inch tea saucer dish. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark in underglaze blue inside the foot rings. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. Priced for each cup and saucer, there are now three cups and saucers available. Japanese Kutani porcelain bowl decorated in gilt and overglaze polychrome enamels with a scene depicting two figures seated outdoors conversing under a tree. A geometric band interspersed with white flowers decorates the interior rim. There are fine "ao tsubu" (green dot) accents. The exterior is decorated on opposing sides with a prominent yellow flower and ribbon pattern. The base is signed in red "Kutani made." Believed to date from the early Showa Period (circa 1926 - 1935)...

This is a Qing dynasty copper coin which read as Tongzhi (1862 - 1874) Zhong Bao and the reverse which read represent ten, which means ten cash coin. The diameter of the Tongzhi Zhong Bao is 3.3cm and it is in good condition.

Antique hand-made solid silver Tibetan Buddhist Ritual Anointing Medicine Silver” Tsog “spoon adorned with repousse and engraved designs, the handle, jeweled with natural turquoise stone.

Not hallmarked but has been tested and it is at least 900 silver .

19th century Japanese carved wood obidome (sash ornament) in a shape of a theatrical mask of demon Hannya. Could have been used as netsuke as well. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, and is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions. Good design, nice detailing, eyes highlighted with gold lacquer. Height 1.8 inches.

Red copper and silver bowl, Tibetan and probably used for buttered tea. Silver lining and foot rim, the latter with a border of stylized leaves, embossed and chased, probably early 20th century. Tibetan silver normally lacks hallmarks and this bowl tested for a silver content of 500/1000. Diameter "3 3/4 / 9.7 cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

Unusual 19th century Persian brass betel box with hinged cover and chiseled designs: the top with equestrian lion hunt, the bottom with a scene of a person with long scimitar slaying a man with several figures and a dog watching, the sides with friezes of various animals: lions, dogs and birds. The scenes must be a reference to some literary story...

19th century Asakusa school staghorn netsuke of obihasami type carved with a couple of bamboo stals. The hooks at the top and bottom of the piece go around the edges of obi - a sash holding a kimono. Simple clever piece typical of Asakusa school, warm patina, darker porous areas as is usual with staghorn. Length 4.14 inches.

Qing light colored celadon, crackle glaze plate circa 18th century. This has a filled chip with gold leaf. Nice cracquelure. The original owner had incised their name on the glaze, which I have highlighted with a bit of baby powder. D: 22.7cm/8.9in and H: 4.3cm/1.7in.

19th century bronze ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in ball shape with relief decoration of several peony flowers. Wonderful work, traces of gilding, nice feel of age, pleasant patina. Height 9/16 inches.

Chinese Export Porcelain Chinese Imari pattern Tea Bowl and Saucer, Ca. mid to late 1700's, 2 7/8" high & 1 5/8" diameter-tea bowl, 4 7/8" diameter, 1? high-saucer, divided into 4 sections, alternate with underglaze blue and overglaze enamel iron red floral decoration, with some gold highlight. It is in good condition, no damages.

Lovely pair of exquisite, miniature porcelain vases with Ge type glaze circa mid-20th century (possibly older). On the bottom there are two characters “ya wan”, meaning elegant entertainment.
