Chinese Tang dynasty - Five dynasties YUEYAO small jar with two lugs/ears. Jar has single hairline, free from any repairs. 8 cm high, 7 cm diameter.
Rock crystal cylinder seal, with an incised design representing a hunter with a bow facing a deer, both surrounded with symbols. Bactrian Civilisation, 3rd to 2nd century B.C. Height: 3.1 cm. Abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition.

This is one of my favorites from the Heflin ceramic collection. It has been broken and glued back together and is missing parts. Dr. Allen Heflin found this piece in Xico, Mexico in 1960 according to his journal. He must have hung it on his wall since he glued a wire to the back. This is a clear representation of a man either emerging or being swallowed by Quetzalcoatl. It is 6" long by 5" wide. The imagery scrams pre-Columbian. It is attributed to the Aztec culture C1300AD.

A lovely little set of three smaller axes, one likely German or Northern Europe, dark bronze hardstone and finely polished (9,8 cm), a nice green stone Meso-American celt, also neolithic period (6,2 cm), and lastly a pointed butt type, likely ancient Near East or Northern Africa (7,8 cm). Interesting lot that needs more study!
