A Chinese white jade carving depicting a boy playing on a "money tree on a mountain, and above a Lingzhi fungus. Late Qing Dynasty to early Republican period. Condition: Extensive brown inclusions, age cracks, small chips, please see photos for condition details. High with hardwood base: 6-7/8", without base: 5-1/2".

Japanese pair of mirror image cloisonne vases with amazing details of phoenixes, dragons, birds, and other mythical animals in jeweled lappets and ruyi-heads and flower bands. Green cloisonne contains gilt-like effects. Mottled purple ground, Base has flower mark, gilt bronze end bands. Wonderful condition.

Meiji Period, late 19th century.

A collectors lot of 5 stamp seals in different kind of stones incl. serpentine and chlorite, made in semi-autonomous Neo-Hittite states of Syria and Levante, during the Neo-Assyrian period, early 1st. millenium BC.

The seals mostly of the tall pyramid shape, but there's also a 4-side rectangular seal, engraved with symbols on all 4 sides and vertically drilled. Another fine seal is cones-shaped and with a high relief engraving of the base.

Large Korean wooden statue of the Amida Buddha or Amitābha, also known as "The Buddha of Infinite Light." He was covered in an oyster shell pigment in order to smooth out the woodgrain, a red lacquer was applied over it, and finally a gold leaf topcoat was applied. He is typically shown in a standing position and is oddly portrayed seated in this statue. 19th century Size: 36" height, 23.5" width, 19.5" depth

A splendid ritual silver necklace, southeastern Asian, ca. late 19th. century AD.- early 20th. cent.

The necklace with engraved bib or collar with fish amid scrolled foliates and geometric borders, traditional sides recalling a bird with downswept engraved tips (joined for mounting by circular and elongated links)

The whole necklace is greatly elongated with two hammered fishes, dangling long beads and a large butterfly below...

A pair of Chinese bronze vase, Qing Dynasty. Both height approximately 26.5 cm. Right vase has 2(two) repair marks from original production. Good condition.

Rare Japanese document tansu with 10 drawers of differing size, made all of keyaki wood with beautiful heavy grain and original deep reddish orange translucent lacquer finish, iron hardware with square shaped handles, Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century). Size: 22 1/4" high x 31" wide x 15" deep.

A small, well potted porcelain dish with incised decoration and glazed with a nice, glossy, pale, creamy blue Qingbai glaze. The base of the dish full covered with glaze like we do know this from Ding ware dishes. The rim of the dish unglazed. Southern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ). Diameter : 10,3 cm. Condition : Perfect, with a very nice glaze and a pale "ping" tone when tapped.

Ca. early 1800s

These vases of tapering square form are decorated overall in famille rose and noir enamels, each having four cartouches depicting courting scenes, surrounded by geometric and floral designs. There are four smaller cartouches on the necks with scenes of scholars and young men. The rims are thinly glazed, and the bases are unglazed...

An attractive and interesting seal carved with three horned animals and a bird behind, Western Mesopotamia, Ubaid period. c. 4th. mill. BC.

Boldly carved substantial seal in serpentine in the gable form.

Size: 27 mm. x 27 mm.

Condition: VF, fine wear from use to the horisontical perforation, but with the central seal image fully preserved.

A Vietnamese, blue and white, jar decorated with a floral scroll, and with four handles; C15-16th. Dimensions; 9cm wide. Condition; good condition. Powerful Buddha image from the Tai Lue ethnic group from the Burma, Lao, Thai border region AKA “Golden Triangle”. Superficially these “folk images” lack the grace and serenity of the urban classical styles, but speak more from the heart of the people, as personal devotional merit making acts. This piece dates to around the 18th century; the “waisted” pedestal is typical of this period...

This small jar is decorated with auspicious symbols hastily painted in underglaze cobalt blue and covered with a thick transparent glaze of whitish tone. The base is recessed with the clear glaze partially covering it. There are two small chips on the mouthrim, some glaze crawling and loss to the shoulder as a result of the firing...

DESCRIPTION: Before the availability of electricity and modern irons, this simple but useful implement was produced to iron clothes. The long wood handle is attached to a large cast iron bowl designed to hold hot coals. The bowl has been cast with designs on its outer surface and is shaped with one side flared to protect the worker’s hand. After the bowl absorbed sufficient heat from the coals, it was pressed onto the garment using the flat bottom surface to smooth out wrinkles...

Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and White snuff bottle depicting a group of horsemen approaching a walled entrance to city with other figures present. No apparent cracks or chips. Includes stopper without lid. Height 2.5+ inches, width 1.5 inches.

The Hiramaki-e technique, which dates from the latter part of the Heian Period (794-1185), was preceded by Togidashi maki-e, a technique in which not only the design, but the whole surface is covered with clear lacquer after the sprinkling of metal powder. The lacquer is then polished down to reveal the design.

The Japanese letter box is decorated in low relief of mountainous terrain and a stylized linear mist or cloud line...

A Chinese porcelain Guanyin statue from 18th century, Yongzheng or Qianlong period. The statue was once modified to be a lamp, and now is still glued on the lamp base. Condition: restorations to the hands and eyes; missing at the necklace pendant; one chip at the tip of the robe. Please check all enlargements for condition details. Height including base: 14".
