Futonji made of hand-spun cotton with tsutsugaki orizuru (origami crane) motif and dyed with natural indigo. It has green color lining which is also hand-spun cotton and dyed with natural indigo and yellow color. In excellent condition except for a hole near hem in the indigo cover, indigo faded parts and some holes in the green lining. Late 19th to early 20th century. 158cm x 188cm

Antique Tibetan trunk with a gorgeous painted front depicting a wide array of bright animals roaming grassy plains. From the left side, a blue scaled dragon with red hair and scales descends from a billowing cloud, clutching a ball in both of its front claws. Sheep, an ox, tigers, a rabbit, a horse, a large bird, and a dog span the plains, and two small monkeys are shown climbing a tree to pick its fruit, while a snake coils its body around the trunk...
A true Original antique tibetan lacquer trunk with hand-painted dragons on the top and sides in bright green and red pigment. The sides of the chest have the image of a gold pigment horse. Wonderful size, full of color and gorgeous detail.

Beautiful Rare and Unusual Tibetan cabinet with wonderful painted front panels of various beasts roaming grassy plains, some with piles of fruit around them, each panel has a red border with green swirl designs. The cabinet's frame is a lovely deep red hardwood, painted with flowers on creeping vines. Original finish and condition.

The rectangular box with ornate gilt decorated panels (each a different scene), three on each side and one on each end, of deities in combat on black lacquered surface. the interior painted red. The sutra with leather ends and sturdy paper leaves with mostly Sanskrit and hand illustrated in colors variably throughout. All good condition with reasonable wear.
