Chinese Jadeite Baluster Vase and Cover Republic Period Of flattened baluster form, deeply undercut as emerging within flowering prunus branches that also support a bird on each side and on the reticulated finial of the conforming cover; the pale green matrix marked with straw colored inclusions and the russet patches utilized for the flowering branches. This elaborate woman's dress bodice is from Afghanistan, formerly Baluchistan. The fabric was first elaborately embroidered with an applique of thin strands of braids. Then it was heavily decorated with coins and beads.

Depicting a deeply undercut grapes, old grapevines, leaves and two boys under a cluster of grapes carved in bright white-apple green matris mottled with emerald green, lavender and resset of Jadeite, it’s in very fine condition without any chips or cracks at all, with silver inlaid wood carved stand...

These ivory statues were carved around the late 19th century or early 20th century. The eight immortals are Chinese legendary figures. From left to right, they are: Lan Cai-He, Cao Guo-Jiu, Lu Dong-Bin, Li Tie-Guai, Zhang Guo-Lao, Han Xiang-Zi, Han Zhong-Li and He Xian-Gu. The walnut base is 18 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and 1 ½ inches high. The figures are 4 ½ inches tall. They are in good condition except for two small repairs...

This carved bamboo brush holder (BiTong) is an early 20th century product. It depicts five sages and two young servants surrounded by pine trees and rocks. It is 6 ½” high and 5”~ 5 ½” in diameter. The carving is elegant and quite deep. Aside from some cracks due to the age and nature of the bamboo, it is in excellent condition.

Set of 3 “Socialist Kitsch”, porcelain brush pots with green Jingdezhen “China” marks inside the “bi” shaped footrims, circa 1960s-1970s. These all have the same mark and same dimensions H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 8.4cm/3.2in. Relatively good Jingdezhen quality porcelain, and simple polychrome decorations with revolutionary slogans. These were meant for mass consumption but amazingly little of it remains today...
