Antique Mughal Indian Islamic cast bronze water pipe (Huqqa) base North India or Deccan, 17th-18th century.

It has a drop-shaped form that tapers to a bulbous point. The octagonal beveled sides have an aperture on top and the shoulder, and the top is embellished with a band of concentric fluted patterns.

The upper part with two small integral rectangular suspension loops, allow the amulet to be suspended with a silk cord from the neck. originally held a Qur’anic verse.

According to the previous owner, this amulet case was found before World War II on the Mohacs battlefield in Hungary...
