This very well made and hand painted vase is a 19th century product. It is 9 ½” high and 2 ¾” wide from the widest part. It depicts chrysanthemum and butterflies over a beige crackled body. There is a brocade pattern design on the top of the vase. The black hand-painted mark “Dai Nippon, Taizan Sei” is on the bottom. It is in great condition.

Japanese Satsuma Phoenix Vase by Kinkozan V, an important and renowned Satsuma artist. It features a stylized phoenix of under glaze red, yellow, green, and blue on a rich black ground. This kind of design was very influential on Art Deco. 9 inches, 23 cm.

This scroll is an excellent example of the early Showa era style of Shirakura Niho centering around 1930 enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Teishu Sotai. The painting features two persons in a boat contemplating a precipitous waterfall which extends up through the clouds. Fine Tall Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse & Rider

This fine and elegant pottery model of a horse and rider was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments. The horse stands alert with its head turned a little to its left. The riders sits leaning slightly forward with arms outstretched.

This is quite large example with a height of 39 cm (15.25 inches)...

An unusual pair of Satsuma earthenware vases, eight inches in height, with graduated green underglaze depicting landscapes.

These late 19th century Chinese Famille Verte ceramic bowls are 1 7/8” high and 5” in diameter. There are two green dragons chasing flame surrounded red globes on the outside the bowls. Inside the bowls, there is one globe with flames. There is an orange peach and lucky bat mark on the bottom of each bowl. Aside from some small hair line cracks due to their age and three tiny chips on one bowl due to the firing, they are in very good condition.

A Fine Pair of Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Painted Pottery Tiles - Deer

This fine-quality pair of highly decorative pottery tiles was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). They are made from a grey pottery and the decoration in relief features a pair of deer in a landscape. Antique Chinese jade miniature duck holding a lingzhi sprig in its beak as it turns to look down it's tail. The bird is beautifully carved with details of the feathers and head done with great naturalism, 19th century. It measures 2" long 1" wide 1.5" tall.

A fine very large bronze buddha, Burma or Northern Thailand, ca. 18th. century.

He helds both of his hands in a gesture of exposition or teaching (vitarkamudra) that in India is confined to the right hand. He wears multible jewels and a large headdress and especially large earrings. He is standing on a small flat base and professionally mounted on round black wooden plint.

Height: 49,5 cm. incl. the low plint and ca. 46,5 cm. alone...

A wonderful woman's wedding hip wrapper made of cotton with wax resist dyed decoration and gilding. The kepala is showing a peacock on a tree, the badan with two long-tailed birds among flowers. Condition: amazingly good state of the gilding, the left and right edge with some tears and few holes. The badan with a small angled tear. Maybe shortened. Dimension: c. 101.5 cm x 174 cm.

The rim is decorated with facing Oceanus heads alternating with fishes. The finely rendered heads show bushy beards extending to both sides and goat-like ears. The lobster claws expected in the hair of Oceanus are mistakenly rendered as ram horns, the usual attribute for Zeus Ammon.
