An interesting and very finely made massive opium weight, Late Shan, 19th./20th. cent.
Peculia weight or figure in the general shape of a 'Kissing bird' of the Shan Burma, but with some added features in the form of fine engravings and a handle.
The figure comes from a very good old collection and is in our opinion genuine old and antique. It weighs around 700-750 grams and was likely made in the very end of the period with opium weights as a unofficial decorative piece...
There are a total of eight signs, each with a different "saying" having to do with well wishes. Due to the age of the calligraphy, and the vagueres of the old Chinese language, accurate translations have not been possible for each sign. Each sign is carved out of wood with raised wooden characters and inlayed with MOP flakes. Each is 21 inches tall and roughly 4.5 inches wide. I have listed them separately, to allow for pictures of each

Very rare man’s ceremonial tunic from the Chin ethnic group, probably Falam Township, Chin State Myanmar. A very unusual and extremely rare ink cake in the form of a crouching dog, circa 1800. From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. The stand is included but is not antique. The cake measures 3.5" (8.9 cm) long, 1.5" (3.8 cm) high, 2.5" (6.4 cm) wide...

This is an interesting and rare decorated bronze dagger dating to roughly 200 BC. There is some dispute as to whether it is from the Dian culture (what is now Yunnan Province in China) or the Dong Son culture in ancient Viet Nam. Regardless, I think you will agree that this is an exceptional example of ancient bronze weaponry...
