These Chinese long wooden bobbins were used for winding thread for routine sewing chores. As a household tool, used by generations of women within the family, they were hand carved and painted with the continious use in mind. Inside each bobbin there is a small bead which freely moves back and forth and acts as a noise maker when the bobbin is in motion...or falling to the floor.

Antique Indonesian heavy piece of burl wood, with a large hole in its middle that may have been used as a mortar and pestle. The hole appears to have been worn through to the bottom over time. Size: 15" height, 24" width

A large, thinly potted vase with 4 lugs, and incised decoration. Glazed with a creamy white glaze with a fine crazing. Southern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ). H : 19,6 cm. Diameter : 14,2 cm. Condition : Perfect. It is rare to find a large Song Dynasty vase like this, which is in an absolute perfect condition. No repair. Even the 4 lugs are in perfect condition. Excavated in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The piece is still uncleaned.

A late 19th C. Chinese quadruple silver medicine bottles with enamel, and with flower motif. In very good condition, but 2 bottles cap are tight,one cap spoon is missing. Marked. Weight:67.3g. H:4cm

Antique Chinese charming hat finial, made of pierced repouse silver and enamel, carved jade disk near base, inset with coral and turquoise, large round agate bead in center, topped with a playful lion with movable ears, the underside of the finial is made of pierced and incised silver with a design of monkeys and bats, 19th/20th century. Chinese antique large lobed bowl, made of heavy copper and enameled with raised repouse design of flowers and scrolling vines on the outside and with lovely yellow enamel on the inside. The enamel work on the flowers is delicately done with lovely colors on a yellow ground to match the inside of the dish. The stand is made of hardwood and intricately carved with elaborate details and long curving legs. 18th/19th century. Size of the bowl: 2 1/2" high x 15 1/4" long x 10 3/4" wide...

Pair of Gilded Bronze Cloisonne Happy Buddha Lamp, 19th Century

The lamp is 13.75 inches (35 cm) tall, and 5 inches (12.5 cm) wide. The Buddha is 7 inches (17.7 cm) tall by 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide. They weigh 5.5 lb.

They have missing enamels, enamel bruising, loss of gilding, surface wears and scratches, and small holes at Buddha's ears (as seen in the photos).
