A Northern Chinese black ware dish; Jin to Yuan dynasty. Probably from Henan province. Overall covered in a dark glaze which terminates to the exterior well above the foot. The interior of the dish was fully glazed, then a ring wiped clean for stacking purposes. The dish is decorated to the interior with five evenly spaced splashes of iron-oxide; which have fired reddish brown.

Nice Kobalt blue, very nice smooth glaze. Ming Dynasty Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 16,5 cm. H : 17,9 cm. Condition : There is one crack to the neck towards the rim and another crack to the body of the Kendi. Since both cracks seem to be very old both cracks do not desturb the nice appearance of the piece. ( Please have a look at the enlargements )

The quality of this small elephant is excellent. Standing foursquare with head turned to one side. The body and the separately cast reliquary - monstrance inlaid, brightly enameled, multi coloured and richly ornamented. Nineteenth century or a little bit earlier. L : 14,8 cm. This finely carved shell skull was found by the famous Dr. Allen Heflin on 9-16-61 in Cuautitlan, Mexico. This Aztec piece dates to 1200AD. It is drilled for suspension. A nice little ancient piece that could be used in jewelry. It is 1/2" long and solid.
