A Very Rare/Fine Korean Silver Inlaid with Orchids Iron Box-18th C.:
Korea, Joeson dynasty, 18th century.
This is a small silver inlaid box, but is a very rare and unusual decoration with Orchids and other floral motifs on the sides, with 4 yellow brass supporters on the bottom.
It’s in fine condition but lost some silver inlays, otherwise good condition,
it measures 8.2cm x 5.3cm x4.7cm high.
Mini suzuribako (writing set) in black and gold hiramaki-e lacquer with water plantain (Alisma plantago-acquatica) decoration and non-identified kanji. Interior in nashi-ji lacquer, with a rectangular water cup and a retractable brush.

The cylinder was carved in deep relief and was pierced through in some portions to allow the incense smoke to swirl out.
