Superb antique lacquered bamboo woven box from the Lisu ethnic minority, Northern Thailand. This piece is in good condition with minute losses to lacquer but perfect woven body. Chinese Export Porcelain flower pedal shape and Scalloped edge Tea Bowl and Saucer, Ca. Kangxi, 1720, 4 3/8" diameter and 7/8" high-saucer, 2 3/4" diameter and 1 7/8" high-tea bowl, with underglaze blue Leaf mark in blue double circle on the bottom, overglaze red of floral and long leaves design with soft gold touch within scalloped edge rim for the tea bowl and saucer. Some tiny frits around the raised rim area.

A lovely large bronze ring of the Byzantine and early Islamic type, 6th.-8th. cent. AD.

The ring with a thick ring and oval bezel, which is engraved with an interesting relief engraving of structures or perhaps an ancient form of writing.

Ring-Size: 21-22 mm. Weight: 12.67 grams.

Condition: Superb! Very attractive dark green patina.

Fine hand axe from Northern Africa, Sahara Desert, Neolithic period, ca. 10,000 to 6000 BC.

A finely knapped bifacial in a lovely pinky-brown silex or chert, with inclusions. Partly polished gloss section.

During this time period, weather conditions called the Neolithic Subpluvial meant that the Sahara was a green, fertile landscape, ideal for hunter and gathering cultures.

Authentic Ancient Egyptian pale blue-green faience 'Wadj Papyrus scepter 'Amulet. Late Dynastic Period, Late Period, 26th-30th Dynasty ca. 664-332 B.C. Wadj or papyrus stalk which symbolized life, growth and fertility for the Egyptians, and latterly resurrection.

Authentic Japanese Edo period woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) depicting two actors in a kabuki play published by Enshuya Hikobei in 1852. The artist’s signature “Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga” and Yoshi Kiri seal are at the lower left with the seal of the publisher beside it. This print is possibly a panel from a triptych. A scarce and attractive seal dating to the late neolithic period, Halaf, Western Mesopotamia c. 6th. mill. BC.

Finely carved in a black stone with a medium tall handle, and carved with a grit pattern in the base. Finding place given as Amúng Ebene, near Ancient Antioch!

Late 18th to early 19th century carving in a shape of archaic Chinese chime stone. Beautiful celadon color material, true nephrite jade, wonderful work, in perfect condition. Length 2.3 inches, weight 15.4 grams.

Japanese small porcelain blue and white water dropper, of a rectangular form with four very short legs. The top of the piece features lingzhi, lotus, and tight scrolling motifs with floral medallions over waves on its sides.

Small Chinese Export cup and saucer, first part of the 18th century, Yongzheng or early Qianlong. “Batavia” brown glaze with reserves of flowers in Imari colours and gilt. Diameter of saucer "4/ 10.5 cm, height of cup "1 ½/ 3.5 cm. Condition: wear to the gilt, one hairline each to cup and saucer (cf. pics).

Chinese Neolithic high fired, well potted jar with side lugs. Very good condition with original pigment and no repair- just some small chips on the mouthrim- please examine enlargements. Majiayao culture circa 3000BCE. D: 12cm/4.8in and H: 12cm/4.8in

Unusual 19th century Japanese carved wooden head of a monk. Was carved and, judging by patina, most probably used, as the top of a votive statue. Wonderfully captured facial expression, old gesso painted eyes, beautiful patina, inscribed in ink on the back of the post. Height 2.6 inches.

Lovely Jin Dynasty circa 1115-1234CE, from a northern kiln, jar with near tea dust colored soy brown glaze, excellent original condition, heavily potted with two lugs. Please note tow subtle russet splashes in last enlargement. D: 10.5cm/4.1in and H: 8.1cm/3.2in.

A nice lot of three Early Byzantine bronze weights, dating to the early Byzantine period, later 1st. millenium BC.

The weights are all inscribed with letters and nicely patinated. The weights are: 79,1 grams (large!), 45 grams and 16,16 grams.
