Chinese Ming Dynasty scroll painting attributed to Qiu Ying (1494-1552). Qiu Ying's courtesy name was Shifu (实父), and his art name was Shizhou (十洲). He is regarded as one of the Four Masters of the Ming dynasty. Ink and color on silk, hanging scroll. The painting represents a beauty in her back yard of bamboos and rock garden. The calligraphy was attributed to Wen Zheng-ming (1470-1559). Wen Zheng-ming, born Wen Bi, was a Chinese painter, calligrapher, and poet during the Ming dynasty. He was regarded as one of the Four Masters of Ming painting. He was born in Changzhou County (now part of Suzhou) in the Jiangsu province. He was also known as Heng-shan Jushi and Ting-yun-sheng. The painting was attributed to Shao Mi (1592-1642). Shao Mi was a Chinese landscape painter, calligrapher, and poet during the Ming Dynasty. Shao was born in Changzhou County (now part of Suzhou) in the Jiangsu province. His style name was “Seng-mi” and his sobriquets were “Gua-chou” and “Fen-tuo jushi”...

The bowl is decorated inside with ducks and enamel plants in the style of the "Famille Verte" we find the colors fired at low temperature aubergine, green, some very rare touches of blue and the fragile iron red, detail in gold. A Chinese Zhangzhou Triple Chrysanthemum Blue and White Plate. Circa, 16th-17th Century, Ming Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. Plate decorated with encircled triple chrysanthemums at the center and its inner rim with a bordering pattern. The exterior is decorated with encircling lines. Chinese Qing dynasty monochrome blue glazed censer with inward rounded rim. The white glazed interior ends at the circular unglazed center. This form evolved from a tripod censer and vestiges of the three legs remain as small protrusions at the bottom surrounding the unglazed circular base. Measures about 10” diameter x 5” high. 19th century. Very good overall condition. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

Featuring a small ovoid shaped body, topped with a flat rounded cover and is covered overall in a green celadon glaze with iron-brown spots, except for the foot-ring. Chinese Northern Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Bowl in Kiln Saggar

An opportunity to acquire a Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1127) kiln saggar still containing its Qingbai porcelain bowl, excavated from a kiln site in the Jingdezhen area of Jiangxi province. This is one of a variety of different Qingbai porcelain wares in saggars, mostly bowls and dishes of varying sizes and patterns, that we were very lucky to be able to acquire some time ago and now offer for sale.
