19th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Peacock Feather Holder & Jadeite Beads Necklace

It is 25.8 inches (65.5 cm) in circumference by 11.8 inches (30 cm) in length. The feather holder is 2.73 inches (6.94 cm) long 0.7 inch (1.8 cm) wide. The jadeite beads range from 7.4 mm to 9.4 mm wide. The total weight is 116.3 gram.

Antique Japanese small ko tansu (personal chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood. Thick kiri wood frames five drawers: three large drawers on the top and two smaller drawers side by side on the bottom. Hardware is made of bronze and includes simple warabite shaped drawer pulls and side handles.

Below this is a series of drawers of various sizes: three small on the right and two medium sized drawers on the left. The very bottom of the chest has one full-width drawer. Hardware includes warabite shaped drawer pulls.

A finely carved boxwood image of a standing Luohan (Arhat), one of Buddha’s disciples. The figure is shown turned slight to one side while holding a wish-fulfilling scepter (ruyi) in the crook of his right arm. The carving is coated in a deep, transparent reddish lacquer. Qing, 18th cent. H 18.5 cm. With fitted, old Japanese storage box. Condition: Excellent with only one minor age crack caused by the drying wood.

Antique Japanese wooden temple carving of a dragon in swirling clouds. Beautifully carved of heavy keyaki (zelkova elm) wood with intricate details. The large dragon clasps the sacred wish-granting pearl in one claw. Around him are billowing rivulets of clouds. Some of the details of his face are painted with red mineral pigment and his eyes are made of reverse painted glass...

. The bronze is very thick yellow, the casting is made in several parts, the arms are cast separately and welded, the ribbons too. The finish is very neat. The old patina is beautiful. The base is cast separately, the walls are thin unlike the statue, but it is indisputable that the two were made together. On the base and at the bottom of the statue are incised characters that date it. I do not know what the exact time is, but I can do research on request. The glory is added later...

A lovely Chinese Snuff bottle in Quartz Crystal with golden flexs, from old collection, Qing Dynasty, and can be precisely dated to 1820-1850 AD.

The bottle exceptionally well carved and decorated with floral scrolls in a very rare piece of super hard Quartz with golden hair / flex. The stopper original and carved in the same stone.
