Decent size 19th century netsuke carved as a theatrical mask of Buaku and used for demonic roles such as Kaminari, Emma-O or any nameless demon or scary devil. Wood with Negoro lacquer, beautifully carved and lacquered, excellently conveyed facial expression, nice patina. A stunning, attractive macehead of a nice large size, in fine redish granite, 3rd. millenium BC.
The artifact is polished to a perfectly symethric compressed oval form with a deep groove in the center. These were made by the singlegrave culture and was a weapon like the battle axes from this fase and as attractive and perfect.

A scarce Danish neolithic Daggeraxe from the Funnelbeaker culture dating to 3500-3000 BC.
The daggeraxes were mounted on shafts just like axes, and there is a general understanding that their use was connected to rituals and ceremonies as well as used as weapons. But compared to daggers and axes, the daggeraxes were only made in very limited numbers and are thus rare today.

Going back over 1,300 years, Seto-ware has the distinction of being Japan’s oldest pottery tradition still active today. Made from the rich clay and silica of the region of production, Seto porcelain in particular has been highly prized throughout the history of Japan. This is a very unusual design. All the pigeons that fly under the gallan are Hand-painted dyeing and very accurately and boldly drawn, just like a Buddhist painting. There is light dirt, but there is no damage.

Chinese fan painting of a stand of bamboo growing near a group of moss-covered rocks. A poem written in the upper right hand corner says: 细竹千竿満地 which translates as "A thousand stalks of slender bamboo cover the ground". The seal is a bit hard to make out but appears to read: 鄭 Zhèng.
That character seems to also appear towards the end of the text.
The next character after it and in the seal is 名 (míng, 'name')...
Antique Chinese fan painting with a poem by Song-dynasty poet Lu You.
The original poem was written around 1201 when he was 76 and describes local delicacies from the area where he grew up. The fan is signed on the lower left side by 魏惟一 Wèi Wéiyī and seal: 惟一Wéiyī. The old poem translates as the following:
