Ancient Egyptian limestone head with thick wig and prominent facial details. With traces of original pigment. Possibly from the head on an ushabti. New Kingdom, 19th/20th Dynasty, 1292–1069 BC. 2 inches high. Mounted. Fragmentary. Ex. Oliva Tiano, Paris, said to be from an old French collection, collected in the 1960s - 1970s.

Size : 10,5cm wide, 4,3cm high. Conditions: Glaze degradations because found from under water, very small chipped at the rim, no crack, free from any repair.

This is a hammered sheet silver breastplate with the neatest iconography that I have seen. This piece screams pre-Columbian. It depicts a fanged anthropomorphic transformational diety war god figure in full regalia holding 3 double-headed snakes/serpents wearing an elaborate feline/monster headdress showing fierce demon facial features. I have seen and collected many bird celts and axe-gods over the years. This one ranks near the top for the type. The quality of the carving is extraordinary and the jade material is wonderfully colorful. It is 3 5/8" long. It is from the Las Mercedes, Linea Vieja area.
