Up for sale is an antique Chinese Manchu woman's informal domestic robe; late 19th or early 20th century; trims embroidered with with wisterias and butterflies, purple silk damask ground with medallions, vibrant colors ! Front enclosure to the right with 4 large gilt toggle-and-loop buttons. The robe is in excellent condition, vibrant colors! A very large Yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish, rounded side with flatted raise rim and glazed base, dish decorated with carved large flower motif at interior and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif at inner wall, dish covered with green glaze.
Dish is in very good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration.

This is one of the best Shounai-Noren used in Shonai, Yamagata area for Edo period. As for the hemp of this item, a delicate thread spun by hand is used. The pattern is full of Chadougu which was popular in Shikoku. Chadougu is an instrument used at tea ceremony. The Chadougu design reached shounai by a goods-carrying merchant ship. The artist Fujita displayed cloth full of Chadougu in the atelier of Japan. There was the picture near a great painter without sense of incongruity...

Antique Chinese opium container made from copper with silver, with a cloisonne lid, decorated with pink flowers on a deep blue background. Its front is engraved with a beautiful seated princess, and its back is engraved with Chinese characters reading " The best medicine of the West comes to the great East. Consume this opium and float like a celestial princess." Dated 1820-1850 Size: 2" height, 1.75" width

Early ming blue and white dish decorated with Fish within an aquatic scene of water plant and continuous flowers at the outer wall. 32 cm diameter. Dish has five hairline and fritting chipped at the rim on restorations.
