This is a high quality and very refined pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases. Though not quite as prolific work as on some pieces, the quality is very high. With almost pitless enamel and a high highly sheen, these vases glow. Condition is excellent and these vases are 4 3/4 inches tall.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding and well-wrapped ancient Egyptian mummy. This mummy features fine wrapping with an outer shroud surrounding the ibis within. This is in the style found in similar offerings to the god Thoth and dates to the Ptolemaic period, ca. 350 B.C.. This is a rare mummy and is an excellent example of an ibis mummy. The mummy was originally part of the Wallace N. Stearns collection and was part of the MacMurray College collection in Missouri.

Late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) embroidered Chinese textile rank badge (also called mandarin square) denoting the third civil rank symbolized by the bird on the badge - the Peacock. Designs on background include peach, pomegranate, fish, shell and bats in flight among clouds and above the fungus of Immortality over the waves. Pair of Japanese iron tsuba (sword guard), mounted on a stand, dating from the 17th/19th century with Hidden Christian motifs. The first tsuba composed of three iron interlocking circles, the image of the Cross can be seen. The second iron tsuba has a very delicate wire design in the interior representing the Crown of Thorns, also has a cross in the overall pattern.

This finely detailed Chinese porcelain plate would make a fine addition to any Rose Mandarin or Rose Medallion collection. It is unusual in that the central medallion features a group of scholars. The rough and somewhat gritty bottom of the plate without any factory markings suggest a factory production circa 1850-1891. In very good antique condition, there is some wear to the enameling in one spot. See photos. Measures 9.5 inches diameter.
This is a very fine pair of Japanese satsuma vases that stand just 4 1/4 inches tall. Attractive form, enamel colors and very fine details. They look like they have spent most of their lives stored in the box. One has the original sticker and both are signed. The signature looks a bit like the Kozan mark but we are not sure. Some of the larger flowers remind us of work seen on Bizan and Yabu pieces.

This is a gorgeous Japanese Satsuma bowl from a rare artist. It is signed Kinzan. This bowl is in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/2 inches across and is 1 5/8 inches tall.
Early 1800's underglaze cobalt blue decorated Chinese tea bowl stands. The center of the dish is open with a raised collar and the opening designed to accommodate a footed tea bowl. The underside is decorated with concentric rings and three stylized bats. The side of the foot ring is decorated with auspicious symbols. In very good condition showing very little sign of wear. They measure 4 inches diameter, interior diameter 2 1/8" and 1 1/8" high.

Small wide mouth grey pottery jar with “soy” brown glaze from an unknown Southern Kiln. The glaze resembles Jizhou ware. Circa Song Dynasty or earlier, the body is quite thinly potted with delicate lugs near the mouth. There is fritting on the mouth and handle but no cracks or chips. H: 9cm/3.5in and D: 6cm/2.3in.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Guardian, having dramatic features and detail, a magnificent terrecotta warrior.
