A choice example of a of a large Wadj Sceptre in brown hardstone, with the stone aiming to imitate rolled papyrus.
The scroll is widest at the top, where there is a neck below the faux loop for suspension. The base tapers into a softened point. Such an amulet would have been for ritual buriel.

Very serene Lacquer SHAN STATE Buddha Head with traces of gilding. Hollow, mounted on removable temporary base. Ushnisha-Flame also removable and probably from a later date. Very good condition. Size: H. 44 cm. x W. 22 cm. x D. 19 cm. Large size Buddha heads such as this one have become very rare and difficult to find.
Chinese Export Porcelain flower pedal shape and Scalloped edge Tea Bowl and Saucer, Ca. Kangxi, 1720, 4 3/8" diameter and 7/8" high-saucer, 2 3/4" diameter and 1 7/8" high-tea bowl, with underglaze blue Leaf mark in blue double circle on the bottom, overglaze red of floral and long leaves design with soft gold touch within scalloped edge rim for the tea bowl and saucer. Some tiny frits around the raised rim area.

A very beautiful jar of Guan form, decorated in underglaze cobalt - blue with a classic scroll and a continuous chrysanthemum scroll set between horizontal lines. Porcelain body covered with a transparent glaze. The base unglazed. H : 8,4 cm. D : 8 cm. Jingdezhen or Fujian. Yuan Dynasty, fourteenth century. Condition : Perfect! There just are 3 short, very faint glaze cracks to the neck resp. to the rim, which are nearly invisible to the naked eye...
Genuine antique Shan lacquer box circa late 19thCE. Most Burmese lacquer being offered on the internet purported to be antique are vintage at best and new at worst. I acquired this in Yunnan, China along the Burmese border but of Shan (nationality in China). Although there is some damage the craftsmanship is exquisite which is why I put a grain of sand in a couple of the images to put the work into perspective...
Fragmentary relief delicately carved to represent a group of three characters, on the left side a yakshi in a niche standing in tribangha posture and holding a palm in her right hand and on the right side two superimposed partly missing characters. Grey schist. Graeco-Buddhist art, Gandhara period, ca. 3rd century. Height: 14 cm. The relief is nicely mounted on a custom plexi stand.

Smashing pair of zen temple buddhist cloud carvings form the late Edo Period/early Meiji Period c. 1870.
Carved out of cypress wood and with gold gilt. Slight wear due to age on a couple of spots but adds character (see photos). Condition very good. One is 10" tall by 12" wide the other slightly smaller.

The charger is depicted in under-glazed blue with a scene from traditional Chinese opera “Romance of the Western Chamber” which is one of the most famous Chinese dramatic works; the rim with a series of lozenge patterns, mounted with a later-added silver handle; the reverse is decorated with two scrolls of flowers.
