A wonderful large Japanese wood carved statue of an anthropomorphic tanuki. He holds a large mokugyo or temple bell with carved dragons in one hand and a lacquered drumstick in the other. Beautifully preserved, hand-carved antique piece.

A Fine Koren Carved Wood Folk Wedding Duck: Korea, 19th Century Carved with a lozenge-form body with a flat, oval base and a fitted with a detachable neck and head which fit into a round hole in the body, painted in black pigment with two eyes, its beak has two holes for fiting laces, it has old rich dark patina on the surface. This wedding duck is superb piece of Korean folk sculpture, warm and compelling in this derectness and naivete. It’s in good condition...

Steatite bowl, with an elaborate decoration carved in relief representing bearded and winged characters, in formal attire, standing and holding a disc, maybe a cymbal, in each hand, alternating with two circular symbols and surmounted by a geometric design around the rim. 19th century kagamibuta (“mirror lid”) netsuke with copper top engraved with Daruma screaming and waving his hands. Excellent design, wonderful use of katakiribori - carving technique recreating brush strokes used in sumi ink drawings - see finely chiseled lines of his robe. Nice wooden bowl, metal fitting around himotoshi. Disc diameter 1.19 inches, bowl diameter 1.79 inches.

Miniature statue of Buddha Gautama, in formal attire, wearing diadem, a lotus flower beside each shoulder, his hands in "dharmacakra mudra", sitting cross-legged on a lotus throne. Bronze, with fine reddish-green patina. Tibet, 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 4.9 cm. Erosion due to great age, otherwise very good condition...

Large pair of celadon glazed terracotta cremation urns.The bodies are in turned terracotta decorated in relief with animals and cast or sculpted figures. Groups of dignitaries, deer, cranes, turtle, dragons, horse completely surround the body. The lids are topped by large birds with outstretched wings. Chinese work from the Song period around the 12th century. This form is typical and there are many examples...

High quality porcelain, decorated with cranes, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1563 – 1620 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19.5 cm wide. CONDITION: perfect, no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.

Large Campanian guttus decorated with four red-figure palmettes and applied white. On top a hollow sieve aperture with pierced holes.
A loop handle and an inclined spout on the rounded shoulder.

A scholar's Yixing brush washer with a white crackle glaze interior. On the exterior raised in high relief and enameled decorated are two quilong chasing the flaming pearl. In excellent condition, it measures 4" diameter by 1.25 inches high. Dates circa 1880.

Large kylix with the sketchily depiction of a woman in the tondo. The lady takes a smell at a flower in front of her face. The style is cursory, the details keenly applied with a brush.
Singular Italic imitation of a Greek cup, executed by a local artist of limited experience.

This is Kake-Fukusa used for Edo period. This is very superior in dyeing by Tsutsugaki and is luxurious. This is superior in processing in detail. As for this, Tsutsugaki and a luxurious combination of the embroidery are very impressive. Big prawns and the combination of Tbanenosi are motifs of the good luck.This has slight stain and damage on the back side, but hardly attracts attention. Size 76cm x 68cm (29.9 "x 26.7 “)

An large and exceptional bronze oil lamp with handle in shape of a leaf and pyramid-shaped, pierced lid. Byzantine, 5th - 6th century A.D.

The lamp is finely engraved and well built. A substantial and very elegant bronze lap with beautifully patinated surfaces. Interestingly, an openwork lid was chosen for it in antiquity, perhaps since it became to hot with a closed tight lid, due to the large size and construction.

Early 19th century netsuke of a buffalo on a base, its head turned back. Unusual and wonderful stylization of the creature - see its upturned snout and raised ears and horns. Beautifully carved, excellent staining, superb wear and patina, old age lines. Height 1 5/16 inches
