This was acquired in 1991, just when Lao was opening itself for tourism and was about 30 years old at the time so this would date pre Vietnam War era. Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Tea Jar or Tea Caddy, later part of 1700's, small size 3 1/4" high, 3 1/4" wide-widest middle part, 1 1/4" diameter-top rim, with underglaze blue large floral decoration between garden rocks, plus Dragon flies flying on the other side. The condition is good, no damage or restoration except firing mark about 1/2" long on the lower part of caddy.

The City God is one of the important Gods of Daoism, he is a kind of guardian deity of the City, a heavenly magistrate responsible for the protection of the territory, the safety and prosperity of the locality.
