A rare and unusual archaic style Jade carving in the form of a "double bird" You. There is a late Shang dynasty bronze You of similar form, described as a Xiao You (Owl You) in the collection of Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Province. This item was exhibited in the Royal Academy, 1973, and can be seen on page 72 of "The Genius of China" (ISBN 0 7230 0107 3)...

A large 16th Century Ming Dynasty deep dish painted in underglaze blue with grape and vine decoration to the centre and with alternating flowers and buddhist emblems around the rim. The underside is painted with elongated prunus branches under the rim and with stylized peach branches to the inside. The base is unglazed. This item was made in China, probably for export, in the second half of the 16th Century, circa 1550-1600...

Beautiful early 20th century jade flask with fitted cap. There is an iris on both front and back of the flask carved in low relief with scrolling pattern. Small carved dragons on both sides with jade rings. Measures 10" long by 3" wide.

A wonderful example of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) burial gifts, this pair of glazed and painted pottery horses and grooms. Dimensions: W. 20 cm H. 17 cm. Condition: expected age wear, no damage or repair.

This early 20th century carved coral of lady and two birds mounted as a table lamp is 22” high. The coral lady is 6” high and the embossed brass base is 7” x 7”. There is a small carved agate bird sitting on the top of the lamp. The lady and two birds are standing on a carved hard wood base and branch. It is in great condition.

Museum quality piece. The front decorated with two dragons and the flaming pearl, the back decorated with bats, the standing rim decorated with colorful flower bands, both on the inside and outside. China, 19th century. Dimensions: 22 x 15,5 cm. Condition: excellent. A similar tray can be found in the catalogue of the opium exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam (collection F. Bertholet and C. Hoogendoorn) page 177 and 178.(see pictures)

A very nice Qingbai plate in the shape of a flower, the center with a very fine carving of a peony. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279). Diameter 14,5 cm. Condition: excellent with normal age wear.

Circa 1840-1850. Buffalo hide quiver with traces of red and green pigment. Contains seven arrow shafts, four with metal points. Ash bow with original animal hair and fiber string. Provenance: Mordecai Thomas Bertram (1843-1904) collected c. 1860-1870 on the Sauk and Fox reservation, then descended within the family.

This massive mid or late 19th century white jade (nephrite) carved Ru-Yi scepter is 18 ½” long, 5 ½” wide (from the widest part) and 3” high (from the highest part). The whole scepter was carved from a single piece of nephrite. The carving depicts mythical figures, animals and buildings surrounded by clouds. Aside from some natural flaws in the stone, it is in excellent condition.

A white glazed, well potted Jar covered with a creamy white glaze. Southern Song Dynasty. The " counterpart " to the larger jar ( item # 1077671, Stock # 320 ) excavated at the same location at Central Sulawesi and also offered by us. Both pieces presented together would give a nice and decorative " ensemble ". Diameter : 7,8 cm. H : 6,6 cm. Condition : Perfect

Antique Chinese scroll painting of 5 large carp swimming in pond with lotus and other water plants. Painted in ink and light colors on paper. Artist signature and seal by Li Fang Yin (1696–1755), known as one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. Inscription reads "Qianlong 8th Year, third month, Li, Fangying of Qingjiang". Chinese antique scroll painting of pair of geese, one sitting on branch, the other fishing in the river with bottom up, wonderful detail, painted in ink and colors on silk, upper right dated "dinghai" (1767) inscribed and signed, by Zhu Genjai (1717-1790), three seals. An Yixing stoneware teapot bearing a rare seal "Li Bang Shui Ji" - which might be a retailers mark. There is a single hole inside the spout. This item was made in China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1908),possibly during the reign of either the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors (1796-1850). Condition - good - no damages and no restoration...

A well carved yellow ground jar, with cover, depicting two confronting dragons amongst clouds and flames above breaking waves. The base carries the seal mark - Wang Bing Rong - and was probably made, circa 1910-1920, during the early Republic period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...
