This piece has been re-carved to appear as the cat is sitting on a peapod (peapods being one of the myriad of Chinese symbols wishing one to have many children), but was really done to hide the damage on the sides of a larger leaf. Hand forged iron hardware includes warabite handles, round lock plates and cross bracing on the doors...
