This is Indigo dye cotton tsutsugaki furoshiki textile of the Edo era(1800-1867). It is a very beautiful crane and a lucky design of the tortoises.It is a characteristic of tsutsugaki of the Edo era that the ear of the tortoise is expressed like a dragon. There is a thin stain. There is not damage. It is in a very good state. It is made of hand-spun cotton and natural dyed. size:141cm x 142cm (55.5" x 55.9")

A Famille Rose enamelled figure of a lady made in China for export to Europe circa 1780-1800 during the reign of either the Qianlong or Jiaqing emperors. This Ge glazed dish is at least from the early Qing Dynasty but most probably the piece is older. Please compare the shape and the unglazed base of the piece with similar Ge glazed pieces from the early Ming and the Yuan Dynasty. Beautiful and unusual altar table with pink marble top, late 19th early 20th century. It is made of rosewood and beautifully carved with peony and iris flowers and dragons. There is a scrolling pattern on each side of the altar. There is a rectilinear pattern under the table top. It measures 35" wide 19" deep 32.5"' tall.

A rarely carved secular version of the Buffalo Dance figure. Circa 1920. Having secular eyes, a buffalo dance headdress with horns, kilt, arm bands, and moccasins, and wearing a decorative, wooden, tail-like appendage. Excellent condition with only minor paint loss. In the four decades that I've been collecting and dealing kachinas, this is the first Buffalo Dance figure I've had. Dimensions: 8 1/2" tall.

This Buddhist figure was cast in bronze and sewn into a leather case. It would have been carried in a pocket or worn hanging about the neck by the leather thong...a personal amulet or talisman meant for protection. Good condition, 4 the case in 4 inches high and 3 inches across at the widest point.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. Antique Japanese tall gyosho bako (merchant's box), made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood, top door opens to 6 small interior drawers and bottom door opens to 4 small interior drawers, all drawers of different sizes, iron hardware with locks and unusual hooks, chrysanthemum shaped hardware in corners, rings on sides for tying ropes as this piece would have originally been made to be carried. Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century). Size: 33 3/4" high x 11 3/4" wide x 22" deep.

A Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish, rounded side with raised flat rim and glazed base, dish decorated with carved large flower motif at interior and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif at inner wall, dish covered with green glaze, semi porcelain with nice crackled glaze.
Dish is in good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration, slightly warp.
Size: 35.5 cm diameter.

A nice potted Song Dynasty Henan ware pot and a definitely wonderful glaze. This very decorative piece comes from resp. was in use in an old temple in Klungkung, east Bali. An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later, probably for export, during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition - there are two white filled rim chips - no further damage or restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high.

An 18th Century yellow ground Cloisonne Enamel Alter Vase, in traditional Tibetan Buddhist shape, made during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - there are burst bubbles; there is impact damage (see enlargement 8) and there are also some flat chips to the enamel (please see enlargement 10). There is also wear to the gilding on the rim and base. 23cm (9 inches) high; base - 13.4cm (5.25inches).

A beautiful late Qing dynasty Chinese silver enameled hairpin, very unusual and long. Came with the original tag. Weight:28.3g L:8.75"

Naturalistic crayfish made of copper from the Meiji period, 1868 -1912. The piece is unusual in that the legs, antennae, and tail move in the same way that a real crayfish moves. It is signed Shinju on the base of the body. It measures 6" long.

Beautifully embroidered robe with the twelve zodiac signs and 8 dragons. An abundance of gold thread was used to embroider the robe. The animals of the zodiac are on a gold ground encircled by a leafed border. The dragons have four claws and are within a circle on blue clouds. The robe is adorned with men, women and children dispersed with an interwoven symbol and swastikas. It measures 62" wide by 42" long.

This is Edo yosegire Patchwork itajime katazome chirimen-silk kimono in Edo period(1603-1868). This is very beautiful yosegire kimono. In the skirt part of the lining, it is cotton and there is damage. There is a little, thin stain. However, it is not remarkable. I recommend this for your collection. size:134cm x 125cm(52.8" x 49.2")

This is rinzu silk fukusa textile in Edo period(1603-1867). It is an elegant design with good history of the bamboo and bamboo shoots. All embroideries are the hands. There is no stain. There is one very little small hole. However, it is very good. I recommend it for your collection. size:47cm x 48cm (18.5" x 18.9")

Altar table from the 19th century mad of ju-mu (elm) wood. Beautifully carved registers adorn the altar. They are carved with bats, deer, fish, and flowers. The drawers have round handles. The cabinet opens into a space with a shelf. It measures 72" wide, 35 tall, 20" deep.

An early 18th Century "Chinese Imari" Tea Caddy or Cannister made in Jingdezhen, southern China, for export to Europe during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1736). Condition - there is no cover, there are small chips / frits to the base and there are chips to the shoulder; no cracks and no restoration. 9cm (3.5 inches) high.

A large, extremely finely carved, hardwood ox or buffalo, surmounted by a young boy, on original openwork stand, probably made for export during the second half of the 19th Century circa 1850-1900. Condition - very good - both horns and the leading foot have been well repaired and the wood appears to have been "patched" and "joined" before carving. 24cm (9.5 inches high); 33cm (13 inches) long on stand.
