Sankampaeng is a Northern Thai ceramic which kilns were found in Chiangmai province.

A superb and large specimen of an Old Elamite / Mespotamian type of bronze battle axe, c. early 2nd. mill. BC.
The axe well-modelled, the blade flares outward in a spectacular curve, its edge delineated as a thinner border. Thick socket with two spikes on the back and decorated with concenthric rings. The socket looks like the open mouth of a beast when viewed horisontically.

Late Meiji (1890s - 1910s) Japanese bamboo wrist rest used by painters and calligraphers, with low relief carving of a blooming camellia branch. One narrow side edge is tapered, so it can be used as a tea scoop as well. Beautiful subtle piece, superb quality carving, warm patina, in excellent condition. Wonderful object for a scholar’s desk. A rare antique Iwayado Kuruma Choba Tansu (wheeled merchant chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and Kijiro Urushi lacquer. Featured metalwork includes motifs of Chrysanthemums and Pine trees symbolizing the Takasago Immortal couple. Unusual pod shaped designs on the recessed drawers.

Antique late Qing Dynasty Chinese cast bronze and hand-chiseled tripod incense burner censer, in the form of the Lotus flower. The sides are applied with twin Lotus blooms as the strap handles.
The censer base is bearing a seal mark in very unusual apocryphal spindly style of” Shuowen Jiezi “Script within a rectangular cartouche.
