19th century Japanese silver two pronged kanzashi - a hair pin - with ear pick spoon on the terminal and decoration of a sacred key and Daikoku’s magic mallet. Excellent and clever piece implying a wish of wealth to the owner, with superb quality work - see the incised wood texture of the mallet. A lovely Staffordshire pottery inkwell and quill holder in the form of a swan. The wings are painted vivid shades of pink with black and gilt accents. The bird rests on a colorful "confetti" nest. 19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture of a reclining karako (Chinese boy) leaning on his right elbow. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb dreamy face, well defined hands and clothing details. Beautiful glaze with numerous tiny bubbles giving it depth, unglazed bottom, in excellent condition (no chips, cracks or repairs), very pleasant to the touch. Typical Hirado underglaze blue and brown highlights. Length 2 3/16 inches.

Late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) Chinese soapstone seal carved on the top with a crouching chimera with a single horn and bifurcated tail exhaling a cloud of vapor. First catalogue photo includes the image of the printing surface flipped left to right to show what the imprint of the seal will look like. The selection consists of a North-Scandinavian iron door handle (18.5 cm.) in a fine elaborate style, and two large finials or handles (27.3 cm. nearly 23 cm. long) finely decorated in Gothic style, Europe.

Condition: Fine intact condition, with nice patinas.
