1930s Japanese carving of an ivory bird floating on a wooden pond. Wonderful crisp realistic carving, excellent painted highlights, very nice stand with wave patterns. Old stable crack along its side, otherwise in great condition. Bird length 2 inches, stand length 3 inches, total height 1.6 inches.
Nice little wood carved architectural element in the shape of a foo dog circa late Qing Dynasty. The tip of the left ear is missing, otherwise good condition with well-preserved original gold and red lacquer 14.cm/5.5in.

Three baby's kimonos, all three have lining with thin cotton for warmth. Two kimonos in yellow and brown stripes are from Akita prefecture where is the product place of Akita-hachijo, which is plain weave tsumugi (pongee silk) dyed with vegetable yellow and brown. Two of them have charm made of silk crepe in the back. Some of kimono for a baby or a child have charms in the back as evils believed to come from the back. Unusual 19th century Chinese soapstone double seal of rectangular section with two sides carved with sunken characters. Third catalogue photo includes images of both printing surfaces flipped left to right to show what the imprint of the seals will look like. Nice buff colored stone, crisp carving of the characters, old traces of red seal paste in the grooves of the characters, in excellent condition, very nice scholar’s object. Seal size 1 1/4 x 5/8 inches.

Inside is a paper label saying No 6 China Peking. Height "6 ¾ / 17.7 cm. Condition: this pouch has been used and shows wear and tear consistent with age.
19th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture of monkey god Hanuman cast in South India. His hands are held in praying gesture in front of him, and his tail forms a halo behind his head. Hanuman personifies ingenuity and faithfulness - his strength and courage helped Rama to defeat demon Ravana. Wonderful casting and detailing, pleasant patina. Height 1 15/16 inches.

A lobed dinner plate with dentil gilt rim, the lip with a garland of flowers and leaves twined around a thick gold band and the center of the well with a large spray of roses surrounded by smaller sprays of flowers.
