The motif of an elephant with a vase on its back has an auspicious meaning of "peaceful times (taiping youxiang 太平有象 - when there is peace, there are signs)". Historically, fusuma were often painted with scenes from nature such as mountains, forests, or animals. The traditional scale of the door is 5'7". The Hinoki wood panels are painted with Rimpa paint and flecks of gold, creating a mist. The floral composition is with camellia, cherry blossom, hollyhock, and chrysanthemums.

A very rare and well made Temple carpet from Tibet with an Imperial dragon with five claws chasing the elusive pearl. This carpet was made to wrap around the column in the temple and the two ends meet. Size: L.222 cm. W. 122 cm. (7 feet X 4 feet). Condition: No repairs.

A superb example of a Worcester pickle dish with the "Two Peony Rock Bird" pattern with formal plant scrolls around the edge. The pattern is classified as uncommon, and the leaf form pickle dish is less common than the shell form. A workman's mark is on the underside.

The long flared neck decorated with a plume of stylised leaves with a pair of ring handles enamelled in green and iron red with gilding. A beautiful engraved and large beaker with an extrafine decoration, consisting of vertical lines, framed with double concenthric lines on the body; with two beautifully engraved Floral medallions and another central medallion, engraved with P.F.S.S / Z.F.D.S and below the inscription with 1704. Stamped with three symethrically placed stamps in the bottom.

Very large and Early Silver Beaker, North European, Baroque period, dated 1701.

Perhaps misleading to call this large Baroque Silver vessel, a beaker, it could be used as a vase. A beautiful engraved vessel with dotted decoration on the body and with a central medallion engraved with CFS:BRD and below the dating 1701. A double concenthric line to the rim which is engraved with the letters P:L:A:M:B.

A rare and absolutely stunning Silver beaker, Northern Europe, possible made as a birth gift, dated 1706.

The beaker very attractive and with a partucularly fine dotted decoration of the body, initialized with the letters PRS:OBL and the dating 1706 below, all in a round medallion. There's two other medallions with floral engravings in symethric intervals on the body.

A fine Georgian ratafia glass featuring an extremely narrow drawn trumpet bowl, the top half engraved with flowers and leaves, and the bottom half of the bowl with molded fluting. The stem is a double series opaque twist (DSOT) with a pair of spiral tapes outside of a loose central gauze. Conical foot with rough pontil.
