Very unusual 19th century square manju netsuke made out of a slab of aventurine glass with silver fitting on the back in a shape of a samurai family crest with paulownia flowers and leaves, swinging silver loop for hanging. Superbly beautiful and rare material, absolutely stunningly sparkling in direct sunlight, does not photograph well. Three tiny chips along the edges on the front and a couple on the back, do not take away from the piece. Beautiful patina, very pleasant to hold...

A Fukagawa tea pot. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark inside the foot ring and Mt. Fuji with Fukagawa Sei in underglaze blue inside the cover. 4 1/8 inches to finial. 7 inches from handle to spout tip. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition save smallest glaze frits on spout tip...

18th century English double cotton twist crystal wine glass. In excellent condition save for a small flea bit nick on bottom. Measures 5 1/2" high, Base 2 1/2" diameter, opening at top 1 3/4". Better photos available upon request.

Antique Burmese hardwood box with inlaid spiral motifs, the inlaid name "H.R. Pelly" is seen at the top of the lid and may denote the name of the past owner. The hinged lid locks via a front keyhole, and each side has a recessed metal handle. Size: 7" height, 17.75" width, 12" depth

A large 10 inch Chinese celadon porcelain plate beautifully painted in polychrome enamels featuring a bird, insects, butterflies, and flowers. The painting was well executed by an artist who had a good eye for design. In very good antique condition, there is one fine hairline measuring .75" or 1.9 cm. and 1 fleabite. Marked on the back, it dates Tongzhi Period (1862-74).

A unusual and nicely made gilded relief dome cover Monk's alms bowl with glass inserts. Most of these types of bowls were made in Mandalay. Size: H. 19.2cm. W. 11cm. Condition: No repairs.

19th century netsuke of kagamituta (“mirror lid”) type with wooden bowl and buffalo horn top carved in sunken relief with a scene of running Thunder God Raiden beating his drum, thus creating thunder. Unusual kagamibuta material, wonderful design and detailing, dense dark wooden bowl with beautiful patina, brown silk cord. Some insect damage to the side of the top as can be seen on Enlargement 4, overall in great condition. Bowl diameter 1 3/4 inches, disc diameter 1 5/16 inches.

19th century Japanese kozuka (sword knife) handle with multimetal inlays depicting a Shinto ritual ladle containing various flowers, its bamboo handle decorated with a tied ribbon. Superb crisp work - see the fine textures of different flowers and nodules of the handle, silver and bronze inlays, gilding, finely textured ground called nanako, which means “fish-eggs” as it resembles fine rows of caviar, in great condition. Length 3 9/16 inches.

A nice late type of dagger, Danish Neolithic period, Daggertime, ca. 2100-1800 BC.

A fine type with a distinct flat handle, dating to the end of the neolithic period in Scandinavia.

This baby carrier panel is a lovely old piece. Embroidered with a very intricate flowing pattern using silk floss and wrapped thread and satin stitch techniques. This piece is bordered with hand-loomed fabric. The back of the piece has recently been replaced. Condition is good 19" x 21.5

A finely patinated large Danish Neolithic sicle, dating back to later neolithic period, ca. 2600-2200 B.C.

Wonderful sicle of a good size, measuring c. 14,5 cm. long and 4,6 cm. wide. Very broad and not crescentic. Nice workmanship have resulted in a thinbladed and exquisite flint artifact that will enhance most collections.

18th to early 19th century iron Japanese sword tsuba worked in low relief with a scene of a boy trying to scare an alert tiger. The subject is a legend of Yoko - one of the paragons of filial virtue. Yoko accompanied his father in the mountains, where a tiger sprang upon them. The boy jumped in front of his father, who was thus saved, but the boy was killed by the beast. Mountain waterfall and a gnarled pine on the back...

A larger thinbutted Danish neolithic axe from the 4th mill BC.

Symmetrically shaped blade, polished on all four sides with very smooth surfaces.

Size is 21,5 cm. - c. 8,5 inches.

Condition: A choice axe with a chip to the edge. Otherwise as made.

Sweet Praying Thai Angel with traces of polychrome paint, wood, 19th Century, size: 15cm x 7cm x 8cm

Chinese round porcelain jar as a cricket container with mottled red and white glaze. The lid is wood carved with the auspicious Shou symbol for ventilation. The foot tapers slightly and is glazed in white.

A set of three Chinese Ming Dynasty pottery tomb figures of house attendants / gardeners. The figures date to Ming Dynasty - 1368-1644 AD.

The set consists of three figures clad in dark blue robes and hats. Each figure seems to be holding or carrying something for his master. A group of sturdy fellows, by the looks of them. All placed on square plints.

Size: the figures measure 22-23 cm. in height.
