There are two original labels underneath bearing the names Jakob and Josef Kohn, from Wien (Vienna). Here we have an incredible example of an ancient iron sword from Northern Iran, possibly Amlash, circa 900 BCE. It has a saddle-shaped pommel with extensive geometric decor on the hilt. The iron blade, though deteriorated, is still intact. The slender and elegant weapon has survived millennia just to be in your collection. There is a crack near the guard area visible in the photos. Ancient egyptian fayence shabti of Gemshu 11,3cm

Late Period, 26th to 30th Dynasty c. 664-332 B.C

Inscription: "Gm-Sw ms, Hr-m-Axt" means "Gemshu, born by, Horemakhet" Both Gemshu "the one whom the god Shu has found" and Horemakhet "Horus is at the horizon" are personal names typical for the Late period. On personal names formed in the same manner as Gemshu see.

Chinese 2 section cabinet made of light color jumu (elm) wood, the top section cabinet doors cover an open compartment with a shelf and two small drawers, the bottom section has 2 exterior drawers and another set of cabinet doors, circa 1900. Size: 67" high x 38 1/4" wide x 18" deep.

This is a 10-1/2" x 8-1/2" ball-footed swing-handle serving basket fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England 1895-6. Made by James Dixon & Sons, this basket has ornate repousse decoration in the bowl as well as attractive design to the ornate handle. It has a presentation inscription in the centre, as it was presented as a gift in September 1896, and it weighs an impressive 595 grams. Besides the hallmarks, it is also stamped 1618P and B3916, at least one of which refers to the design...

An extraordinary blue and white Chinese export porcelain beaker-form jardinière raised on feet. The quality of the painted decoration makes this one of the finest examples of 19th century Canton we’ve seen. This is a beautiful bronze dagger from the Dong Son culture in early Southeast Asia. It dates to the Han period (ca 200 bc). The very fine quillons that are often missing on pieces of this type are present and intact, making this a truly rare and high quality find. It measures 31.5 cm in length and weighs 371 grams. It appears to have a repair to the very tip, which is not uncommon for these daggers.

Pre-Columbian Effigy pregnant Female Figure. Costa Rica. Guanacaste-Nicoya . Period V/VI AD 500-1550/ seated Woman. Measures 9" Inches Tall 5" wide. Nearly all the polychrome geometric painted surface has been lost except a few tiny areas visible showing the geometric pattern .

A large and attractive stone jar, Mesopotamia, Sumer c. 2800-2400 BC.

With the finely concave walls, similar to a jar found in the Royal tombs of Queen Puabi, 2600-2450 BC and jars from Jiroft in this period, dates this jar to the Sumerian period.

The stone used is a rare and very lovely pink calcite, some of the colour probably patina. the stone is banded in clear bands and semi-transperant when lighted. With cream inclusions.

A substantial and attractive vessel in pinkish travertine with fine inclusions, Uruk/Jemdet Nasr - Early Dynastic, 3300-2700 BC.

The bulbous vessel with a finely polished exterior and with a broad flat rim.

The stone used is a rare pinkish travertine with fosil remains and lighter cream inclusions, large areas of dark deposts and patina.

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester between 1755 and 1783. It is a First Period product under the ownership of Dr. Wall. It has the open crescent mark. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and it is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches at the opening. The porcelain body of both pieces is fluted with scalloped edges. There are cobalt blue borders...
