This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1896. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. The rim is slightly scalloped with a molded, gadrooned border. It is decorated in Japanese Imari style. Cobalt blue, rust red and bright gold are used in this floral design. The flowers are painted in a stylized, bold manner...
Antique Japanese ko tansu (small chest of drawers). The piece is made with Sugi (cypress) hardwood top and sides, while the front is made with Kuri (chestnut) wood, with the original red lacquer finish and black lacquer frame. The piece holds five drawers of various sizes with heavy iron lingzhi form lock plates, and warabite style handles.

An antique Japanese Ko Tansu (personal storage chest) made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Hidden behind the hinged door are two small drawers. All original hand made iron fittings with Gumbai handle with a natural wood grain finish and straight dovetail joinery construction.
Chests such as these were used in a home to store letters, photos, miscellaneous ephemera, small valuables and other sundry items...
A very rare Ming 15th century Chenghua blue and white small palace bowl, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with under glaze blue in fine decoration of flowery motif, center with Chinese character, base with four character in square mark.
Bowl is in good condition with two hairline on the rim, no chip, no restoration.
Size: 7 cm diameter.
Outstanding sterling silver master salt spoon in a rococo pattern by Gorham. I have not been able to put a name to this assymetrical pattern, although it is very similar to "Marie Antoinette" and "Dresden". The bowl is parcel gilt. The reverse is marked with Gorham's old hallmark.
Origin: America, circa 1885. Condition: excellent, gilding intact, crisp details, period mongram "Y". Size: 3-5/8" long.
Beautiful Japanese kesa made from a very high quality silk brocade. The work shown on this kesa is truly amazing. The gold picks up light easily and when it does, it changes the whole kesa to a golden color. The head of Dionysos with almond-shaped eyes, a strong nose and a small mouth with pursed lips.
The broad beard with fine wavy strands. Undulated, slender moustache. The hairdo with strands of hair that end in curls, without the hair band above. Traces of red (carmine) pigment on the forehead and the beard.
Fine archaic style, excellent modeling. Mounted on an acrylic stand.

Chinese antique group of 5 pottery court attendant figures and palanquin. Sancai glaze with green, yellow and black. The faces and hands are painted with slip. The palanquin is similarly glazed and has nice yellow drips.

Almost square fukusa or gift cover, with hand-painted (yuzen dye-technique) and embroidered (silk, god and silver thread) decoration of a garden landscape around a house in spring. Possibly a scene from the Tale of Genji.
Reverse of the cover is a bright red silk cloth decorated in brocade weave with cranes, chrysanthemums, bamboo, pine and shippo design.

19th century shakudo Japanese sword tsuba for tanto with raised and inlaid decoration of a dragon flying along its rim among wispy clouds, all on finely textured ground called nanako, which means “fish-eggs” as it resembles fine rows of caviar. Shakudo (an alloy typically consisting of 96% copper and 4% gold) body, superb clever design, extraordinary crisp work, in excellent condition. Height 2 3/16 inches.
A Yuan dynasty blue and white small cup, decorated with continues flower motif, unglazed base, cup is in good condition with small damage at the rim restored, size: 8.5 cm diameter.
