Offered is this rare antique opaline glass perfume bottle with a serpentine rigaree. The hand-painted bottle is 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) tall and 3 3/4 inches (9,5 cm) wide at the bottom. It is in good condition except for a small flake on the rigaree (see last picture). Polished pontil. Unsigned - most likely made by Baccarat of France.

Round in shape in the spirit of a kobako, this rare box in 2 parts in fundame lacquer represents a butsudan (small portable temple) inside which there are, very finely carved, a Buddha on the lotus and 2 apsaras. On the lids lotus leaves seem to fly.

This porcelain basket was produced in Tettau, Bavaria by Royal Bayreuth in the 1890s. It measures 5 1/4 inches high and 3 3/4 inches wide. The exterior of the basket has a molded tapestry texture. It is decorated with a transfer design of roses in various colors. The handle and base are reticulated. A “pearl-like” finish is used in these areas. R.S. Prussia used similar finishes on their wares. There are gold trim and gilded accents on the handle and rims. Condition: Excellent...

The smallest probably French, Second Empire, the two others late 19th century – the clear glass bottle probably Italian. No stoppers. Height "2 ¼ - 4 ½ / 5.5 – 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Superb ornate Victorian sterling silver soup ladle in the 1882 "Aeolian" pattern by Knowles. This is just a terrific pattern--easily on par with Gorham, Whiting or any of the other great Victorian silversmiths. The handle is ornately decorated with trailing fuchsias and foliage. The bowl is formed as a large leaf with very nice engraved details. The bowl is matte finished for added texture. The back is hallmarked by Knowles.

A Nyonya plate painted with auspicious symbols of a peach, peony and Buddha hand citron. Nyonya wares are over-glaze poly-chrome enameled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware.
