This 18th century Japanese unsigned boxwood netsuke of FUKUROKUJU (in phallic shape) is 2 ¼ inches tall, 1 ½ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches in depth. It is in excellent condition.

A heavy Ming style bronze censer bearing the inscription - "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet". Similarly inscribed bronzes and porcelain were first made for the Imperial court during the reign of the Zhengde Emperor (1506-1521) but this item was made later. The base carries a four character Xuande mark...
