This porcelain bell was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. It has the authentic underglaze crossed swords marking. The bell measures 4 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. It is hand painted with the Tischenmuster (table pattern) design. The design is an Asian inspiration. The decoration is very colorful and has abundant gilded accents. The bell retains its original wooden clapper and this bell rings with a lovely tone. Condition: Excellent, first quality...

19th century small netsuke of theatrical mask of Okina (old man) used in Sambaso dance. Wonderful quality carving, great smiling face, expert staining, beautiful patina, in perfect condition. A Chinese jade plaque 17/18 C. very finely carved and pierced with precious objects e.g the canopy, endless knot etc.This reticulated example with its breathtaking virtuosity and delicate , meticulous detail is a fine example of earlier Chinese lapidary art. The stone is of greyish celadon hue with spots of whitish clouds and is set on the back of a hand mirror in a frame of gilt silver which is worked with a ground of filigree and multi colour enamel decoration...

Very beautifully sculpted in the mass of bamboo, the decoration in gold lacquer and polychrome represents 2 Tengu (Japanese legendary creature or demon) under a pine pointing with a finger a vajra (ritual Hindu and Buddhist object, representation of the lightning and the indestructibility...). On the other side a decor of butterflies fluttering over a box in gold lacquer and a lance with at their feet are flowers in polychrome. The whole is very finely carved. Origin: Japan...

Japanese early 20th century vase by Sasaki Niroku. The vase is done in the shape of a well bucket with crab on the side. The piece is done in fine detail and very realistically. The vase TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The piece measures 9" tall, 6" wide and 6 3/4" deep.

Japanese noh theater mask of a woman, carved with pierced eyes, mouth, and nostrils for the wearer, as well as two pierced holes at the temples to be secured against one's head. Lacquered in flesh tone, black hair and blackened teeth and eyes, red lips, and black lacquer interior. With kiri (paulownia) tomobako, inscribed with the name "Zouonna".

This porcelain platter was produced in France by Haviland & Co Limoges around 1900. The platter has both an underglaze and printed mark from the factory. The diameter of the platter is 12 3/4 inches. It has a beaded gold border. The transfer decoration of large pink roses is set in a burgundy ground. There is ornate gilding accenting the border. This platter is beautiful to display and wonderful to serve with at your table. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea caddy was produced in Germany by KPM, Royal Berlin, around 1870. It is unmarked. The porcelain blank features the lid with snowdrops and the bottom has the typical legs that were designed by KPM. The piece is 7 inches high, including the lid. The ground is rich cobalt blue. A superb 64 cm high male attendant carrying his masters war helmet. The figure is decorated with green and orange-yellow glazes and black, red & white pigmentation. It dates to the Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.

One of a group of very large Ming Dynasty pottery horse riders.

The figure is of a military attendant, wearing a hat and carrying a book or an instrument in his hands. He wears a blue robe with turqoise sleaves. Thick and very beautyful glaze. The unglazed areas are covered with white and black pigmented colors.

Note that the painting is very detailed and the perfectly rendered facial features.
